You’re comparing a street legal dual sport bike with a purpose built motocross bike, the lap times being this close is insane.
That 450RL is one hell of a bike!
Thanks yes - But obviously this is only possible because this 450 is based on the "full blood" 450R MX race bike 🏍 😁🏆🏁
Crazy it’s so close
Yep but actually with a tire upgrade the CR250 is 2-3 secs faster as we see in my latest tire-comparison video, and soon with suspension upgrades the CR250 will be even faster 😉

To me it looks like the 250 was faster. I just got a 450RL and love it so far.
I own the 2022 crf450rl and I’ll say the 2 stroke wins by a hair.
Nice, it's a great all-around bike 👍actually now I have set a new lap time record on 1:03:50 on the CR250 after lots of practice 😀
Great video, I was looking at the 450rl. Can you tell much difference between the weights on the track?
Thanks 👍 Regarding the weight of the 450RL, no it does not feel too heavy for cornering and general training motocross. Only if you are doing pro-skill-stuff like whips or Scrubs it moves slower side-to-side in the air
@@FastCoachToby Thanks. The only scrubbing I can do is with a brush and soapy water 😂. If I did any competition it would be Harescrambles or light enduro. I have a KLX300R with similar weight but half the power and was looking for a reliable lower maintenance dual sport for trail riding and some cross country racing.
I thought the 250 would win. I wonder if you did the comparison three times if the results might change? Up the sample size.
I also thought the CR250 would win haha.. But no, if I did more runs I surely would become even faster on the CRF450RL, maybe 1-2 secs, because as mention in the video: I almost didn't ride the 450RL upto this test and was just getting comfortable on it. It wins because it has 1. Better suspension 2. More usable power ... both these factors is what all the top level pro-mechanics work on improving for the top riders 😁✅️🏆🏁🏁🏁
Awesome! I have a 93 cr250 and a 21 450rl so naturally, I really enjoy watching both bikes in the same video.
Cool 👍 Such great bikes 🏍 👌
