AC Milan quickly broke into Liverpool's goal with a goal from Paolo Maldini using a set piece from Andrea Pirlo. Then AC Milan increased their lead with two goals from Hernan Crespo. AC Milan ended the first half with a 3-0 lead. In the second half AC Milan relaxed their attacks and as a result Gerrard was able to steal a goal with a header. Not long after, Vladimir Smicer doubled his lead on the game. At the end of the match Liverpool received a penalty and Xabi Alonso managed to score a goal. The score was 3-3 until the penalty shootout and finally Liverpool managed to win the Champions League

Was in boarding s2 when I watched this game, liverpool fans left us watching after first half that they had lost, the following morning we told them that they won the game but they couldn't believe until they got the news from the morning assembly news bulletins , it was an epic final of all UEFA finals I have watched 🎉
