Oh yes, I picked up the quad and although not unique color stir, it is beautiful, high quality and I will use it for everyday and also evening. The liners and lash clash are already staples for me.
I love the YSL eyeliner pencils; especially the deep blue. I have a few and find they are similar to the VB kajal in that you’ve got a bit of smudge time before they set. As for the little brush at the end of the pencil, I like it for a clean graphic line when that is the type of look I’m going for. To be honest, though, I prefer a look that is deep at the lash line and then gently fades out to blend with my shadow. I use a silver Fox brush to do that job. In addition to the deep blue, I love the brown because it is dark and rich. And, what can I say about black? It’s black! 😅 It glides on so smoothly and gets right into my lash line. Does it compare to the new TF? No. I reach for the black TF daily and have consigned the YSL to my travel bag. The TF, YSL, and VB are all excellent products.
@@kateboy-rx6jt Both the YSL and the TF are intense black and have a smooth glide although the TF does have a bit more slip. For me, the TF edges the YSL out because it maintains its depth of color longer.
Jennifer what do you think is more beautiful chanel diamond dust highlighter or the holiday hermes highlighter. I have not tried either so wanted to know
Please forgive my intrusion - I will give you some information about the new Hermes highlighter (Plein Air 28 Faubourg, rose gold) that may help your decision making: the ingredients are almost identical to the first Hermes highlighter from about 2 years ago - called Permabrass 01/Poudre d’orfèvre- it is gold-toned but it is smooth and non-glittery. I saw the new Chanel highlighter in store today and it’s cream-coloured and very glittery (I didn’t buy it). The Chanel would be more impactful under artificial lighting but the Hermes would be more flattering in natural light (walking outside, sitting next to a window, etc.) and look more subtle in artificial lighting. For me, the choice is clear - the Hermes highlighter is more versatile and more classy. (Note: I also have the Hermes 02 highlighter, Mirage, and the ingredients are slightly different so it is much-much less reflective than Permabrass - I fully expect the new one to be even more beautiful for my cool skin tone than Permabrass.) Hope this helps.
@@jocelynel-fab5214my understanding is the glitter in the Chanel is primarily the overspray? I've heard from people who actually wanted a glittery highlighter for decolletage this holiday season, and the Chanel is more satin in reality.
I saw and swatched the tester. The overspray was mostly gone but the highlighter is glittery - not as intensely as the Mermaid highlighter from last spring (my most regretted purchase of 2024) but similar to last year’s holiday releases. The glitter would be apparent in natural light. For me, the choice would depend on whether I intend to use the highlighter for evening looks only or for both day and evening looks.
@jocelynel-fab5214 thank you everyone for your replies and for the information. I never had a chanel or hermes highlighter. Actually hermes I have nothing but their lipsticks. I actually purchased both chanel and hermes highlighters since I haven't bought much makeup this year saving it for holiday. Again thank you. I heard chanel is glittery then some say satin so I decided to try them both. They are different colors.
I managed to get all of their LE editions this year. I love the formula and the packaging for the three (??) LE cases were so lovely. I bought the pastel one from Tavia as it’s an Asia exclusive.
Do you think the YSL liner is better than the Tom Ford for the price?? I don't really have any liners (that aren't liquid) anymore and am getting back into them so I want to find one I really like.
You rave on about the packaging Wayyyy tooo long!!! I'm interested in the colours, the formula, does it last, is it easy to apply, and see swatches of them all, then a GRWM....
Happy Thursday Everyone And Good Luck
Love YSL. Ty Jennifer! 😊
Just got the eyeshadow quad and I am in love. Like you said nothing groundbreaking but is so gorgeous! And elegant. 😊
Picked this one up already.

Never had a ysl eyeshadow. I have had foundation mascara ect.. now I want this holiday eyeshadow.
Lancome has great waterproof eye liners
Great Video Allfeisty
I love the eye look you created. You look so pretty & holiday ready!💕
Outstanding Great View
I actually like this collection. The colors aren’t as wow. But the packaging is really nice and I’m happy to see this
Ah. The YSL velvet smoking jacket is so iconic! Nice collection.

How is the TF different from the YSL?
How would you describe the deep blue in YSL? I love blue eyeliner but want to know is it a navy blue or more unique in shade?
@@kateboy-rx6jt It’s a cool navy blue with a very slight soft metallic glint.

Haha. I just thought: I’m almost going to deserve a happy quarter to rest after work and before my doggie potty time/long walkies. THANK YOU

Yes. For $32 the ysl is a great choice versus the TF which is $50. I think they are very similar in formula
Btw, your vanity in the background, is that Riki loves Riki?
@@KatherineColeTipsandTools I think it is!
