very nice. I'm thinking about doing an in-frame thrust bearing replacement on my PT Cruiser. I could not get a good view of the bed plate or crankshaft as far as part removal. this video show me how to get access to it. novice mechanic here but wanting to do an internship at a mechanic shop
Hello, couple questions. Would it be possible to get the full balance shaft assembly out without needing to drill that hole and plug it off? If it's not can I theoretically just remove the chain from the shaft and keep the actual shaft in there? Not looking for hp gains, just to get rid of the balance shaft noise as it's knocking a whole lot.
I’m looking to do this to my neon. But what did you about a windage tray? Without the BS the crank is just sitting in the oil pan. So what can I do about a windage tray if I don’t have one?
@@edgarvega943 the worst choice bro, don't do it ! Keep the balance shaft and its chain. The power gain is insignificant, doesnt worth it. A lot of vibration! So horrible
Yes, it pretty much is. There are some differences like the ECU, intake manifold, intercooler, etc, but the long blocks are the same and are interchangeable.

Great job... What can you tell about the vibration after removing the bshaft?
Inside the car, steerin wheel, engine itself
None that I've noticed no vibrations
@@DDETv719 well... In that case im going to remove them this weekend lol
(Stratus R/T 2002, 2.4 turbo, autostick)
@@kamaleon20002000 Hello, how did you do eliminating it? Is it true that they are revealed

What size are the bolts that you used to cover existing balance shaft holes.
I'm surprized you didn't steam clean the black off. you said "this thing", is that the oil pump?
I am having the exact same problem. 2 new seals and they are popping out for some reason. Any ideas?
After this time you haven't had any problems?
Good video!
Thanks!
was the oil leak due to crankwalk ?
Is this the same motor in the 05 neon srt4s?
Yes, it pretty much is. There are some differences like the ECU, intake manifold, intercooler, etc, but the long blocks are the same and are interchangeable.
yes, Chrysler took the srt4 motor and put it in the pt the are identical motors
Como poner distribuidor de motor 4.3
I would've just put a new balancer chain in it
You feegot to tell em what color of loctite..😂but good job otherwise.

Can you give me a job?
PROBALY WOULDVE DONE THE STRAP KIT
