I wanna see Johan Hegg do the growl parts in Babymetal songs🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼 I saw Amon Amarth 3 months before this Covid-hell. It was epic. The fire-alarm went on twice at the arena. It was november in Sweden and we had to evacuate (twice) without our jackets. Nobody complained about the weather.
Probably been said before, if so... here it comes again. So, Fenris (or Fenrir) is the Wolf in the Norse mythology that is supposed to swallow the sun during Ragnarök (The Final battle). Jörmungandr is the Midgard serpent. Vingtor is just another name for Thor (The God of thunder in the norse mythology) This song is about Thor's battle against the Midgard serpent during Ragnarök.
After you watching this video I've noticed you've grown a beard, got a Viking helmed, waved with your sword and axe getting ready for battle. You sir Combustible are a true Viking!😁
Totally awesome reaction. Yeah this definetly gives chills. Might i suggest some more awesome viking songs? " Varyags of Miklagaard" (vikings of constantinople), "Shieldwall", "1000 years of oppression", "Fate of Norns". Also Hemfärd with Månegarm which has 4 million views. Cheers from your fan in Sweden.
You´re almost right, in norse mythology Fenrir/Fenris is a giant wolf and one of Loki´s children along with Jormungandr a.k.a the world serpent as they´re singing about here, and Hel the underworld goddess.
I saw them play at 2008 Unholy Alliance tour in Helsinki. There was Mastodon, Trivium, Amon Amarth and Slayer. And I must say, Amon Amarth really impressed me. Mastodon and Trivium were also good, but for me Amon Amarth even slayed Slayer that night.
Check out the official live version of this song... Also Sabaton made a cover of this song. And another great cover of this song is made by Rage Of Light - female growl...
Some call this Viking metal, I don't care what it's called I just love it. Amon Amarth is one of my favorite bands from my home country.

Big Dutch fan of this band från Sverige (from Sweden). Been to their concerts and have all their albums. Across the Rainbow Bridge is my favorite.
