Weird. I wonder if my car has this installed in it.
It's a 2011 NC2 PHRT Special Edition that I bought used through Carvana. I NEVER have to hold the button for 12 second for the top to go up and down. One press is all it takes as long at the roof latch is open and I am going a slow speed or stopped; like you indicated in the video. I can do it as long as I am under 20 mph or so.
That being said, the top NEVER opens automatically for me if I undo the latch and start driving.

Christopher I would bet your car does have one of these! You can find out by opening the little panel behind your driver seat and seeing if it's plugged in!
