Been doing tons of research on starting my own business in powder coating. Your videos have helped a lot. Was going to get the KK-HD but now I think I’m leaning towards the KF-X1. Would you be willing to relay some more information and answer any questions I might have before I make the decision?

Great explanation I have an old nordson surecoat and a very wagner I bought them cheap, but was afraid to use them so was going buy a rc-1 but now I have some confidence in trying to work with them, now I have the gest of kv Ua I guess it's the air flow I must also get familiar with. Is it possible to fit a cup for the powder to my systems as I'm concerned about cleaning for colour changes. Thanks so much for doing this tutorial. The best of luck with your adventures. First thank you for being a subscriber and supporting the channel. If you get a chance watch out KV / UA video that I have been told helps ppl. On a side not we have a few different hoses going from fluidizer to system. We only run clears through one hose, metallic dark's through a hose, light colors through one and dark colors through another. These hoses are cheap and it helps with contamination. Good luck

How do you feel about Gemma when I was a powder coater that's the gun we used

I have no issues with Gemma a friend of mine uses one. I would love one myself. He has used my x1 and said it really works the same no better, no worst. So I have nothing bad to say about Gemma I wish I could afford one myself .

Hello sir. What if I just don't have settings of µA on my coating system?
It's rc 1. And instructions to powder I use demand to have at least 70µA.

@@GMPC RC 1, only kv settings. It is just like on the video below.
40-46 kv, 70 uA are settings from manufacturer of powder. Now just can't spray it in normal DFT. Falling off in corners and has overspraing effect.

@@user-kn1jl4or9p these are hard systems to regulate. So with these systems what some people do is warm up your part and LIGHTLY hit the hard parts like corners. Then let your project cool down then do the easy parts cold. You will have a much better turn out. Hope this helps. I’ll look into buying one of these systems and do a video on it.

Voltage can be thought of as the speed of electricity and amperage is the amount of power or work it can do. KV is the speed of the punch and the milliamp or micro amp is the force of the punch. A very fast punch with low force will hurt but likely do little damage and that is how stun guns or electric fences work. The human heart is said to take about 6 milliamps to stop and each amp has 1000 milliamps and receptacles in homes are usually on 20 amp circuits, so it doesn't take much to kill a person. The body also isn't harmed easily by under 50 volts and that is why automotive batteries don't electrocute or even shock people but with a direct short they can still burn you badly and melt metal parts due to the amperage..........slow but extremely strong punch. Higher KV should give a better spark on ignition systems (like used on engines and also many tig welders for starting the weld since the spark jumps easily and then allows the arc to form with the high amperage). I have only been doing powder coating for a little while with the dual voltage eastwood gun so I don't know a lot about how the voltage effects the powder. I see an affordable pro gun in my future so I have been watching to figure out what will work well in the $1k to $2k range.

Thank you so much 🙏. If your looking for a gun the x1-reaper is a good system and there is also a x1 group with all x1 owners so whenever something comes up the group helps eachother. Worst thing is having a question and 20 ppl answer with 20 different systems. I could put you in the group for a week to ask questions about the system if you would like
