Standard tenor tuning is C3G3D4A4. Chord shapes are comparable to a tenor banjo. That what makes the tenor guitar sound out and cut through a mix with other stringed instruments.
I just got this same guitar. I hope to play half as beautifully as you someday. I'm considering getting two more tenor guitars so I can have three different tunings at all times. An electric tenor is so cool!
Delightful video and great info. I play baritone uke and will consider getting one of these bad boys. Been jamming with a dulcimer group and have been exposed to lots of old time Americana songs including this one. Thanks again.
The Recording King tenor guitar that I saw on their website and that a friend of mine owns is a 000 size guitar. We tried putting it in my Martin 000JR-10 gig bag, and the tenor was two big for that bag.
Beautiful Lady and beautiful playing! Thank you!

Superb musicians and a blessing from God
Thanks very much Chris, great stuff as always. xxx
Who knew! It shows in all your face how much you love music!

Beautiful!!
I love to see the Tenor Guitar being played. Such a great guitar.
🎉 this was a good one! Happy music here!
Got the Recording King 000 Dirty Thirties tenor for Christmas. Sure wish I could play it as well as you do. I tuned mine low GCEA without problems.
Beautiful sound on one of my favorite tunes.
Love it.
Nice work Ms Chris :-) We have an old Harmony tenor guitar around here somewhere It from the 60's or early 70's :-)
Great playing…. Even better smile!
wow beautiful
Nice, never heard of this, and you had fun with that little tune. ☺️
Your smile makes me happy
Very cool!
❤ tenor guitar 🎉. I have four of them now after playing six strings for 50 years 😊
Awesome.
Great!

I have that same guitar, but I tune it like a Plectrum Banjo. D G B D. Sounds great! I play 5 string, and this inexpensive guitar sounds great!
Love your smile ❤
I was looking into purchasing one of these. Do you think this one could be tuned to GDAE without any issues?
You could *probably* do that, but you would need different gauges of strings.
How loud is this model? I'm looking at buying one for the fun, but wonder if it would be loud enough to take to an Irish session?
I think it’s loud enough. At least this one in particular is!
Is the body the same size as a standard acoustic?
No. It is slightly smaller and thinner. O size.
