I just tried it out and I liked that I was averaging 7-8k for my damage. I was still getting crits almost all the time but I did get 2 non-crit hits as my crit chance was only at 87%. Though overall I like it a lot. Definitely a damage spike.
@@DakonsMadhouse Yeah, it definitely the build I ended up settling on after watching your old video on the Ra Akar set. I just ended up using the whole armor set rather than the necklace as it was way more effective that way and added the meteor chunk for more crazy shenanigans. It is definitely a build I love a lot as it deals crazy high damage and, without food, is a Uni build. You can use either melee or range and still have all the same benefits as it is just generic damage and crit bonuses. I know future armors may be crazier, but it is hard to imagine a better one than Ra Akar's as even without food, that setup hits like a truck.
I've been playing around with this build and I must say its amazing. I did however find some extra food to consume if you're playing a ranged build at least. You'll want to eat them AFTER the "Epic Sandy Fruit Smoothie". The foods are "Epic Coral Red Berry Pudding" and "Epic Astral Oat Cereal" (If you have the fishing dmg perk). The Epic Coral Red Berry Pudding is the main one, since it will give you a whopping +80% range damage for 6 min 30 sec! A nice improvement from the +42.3% that the fruit smoothie gives. It will also add +75 Health for 6 min 30 sec that helps out if you're having issues with managing your health. You can make it with "Pink Coralotl" and "Golden Heart Berry". (Edit: Pink Coralotl is found by fishing in the Sunken Sea) The "Epic Astral Oat Cereal" is made with "Astral Jelly" and "Golden Bloat Oat". It gives +94 Fishing and 15% less food drained while running, which helps to keep those well fed bonuses running a little longer. And since I've been going with ranged, I removed the Epic Bright Tropics Smoothie from the foods I consume with the two above replacing it. I don't yet have all the skills at 100, but my damage with the build and foods shown in the video ended at 1028 - 1256 ranged damage. After adding the foods I've talked about, it increased to 1188 - 1450 ranged damage. Sorry for the rant and hope someone finds this useful! EDIT: It's better to use the "Golden Bloat Oat" with the "Pink Coralotl" as well. The Golden Heart Berry will otherwise lower your health since the Sandy Sandback fish is actually already giving you +117 max health for 6 min and 30 sec.
this is great! I admit I don't spend a lot of time optimizing my food these days. I have a stockpile of foods from my first few videos and I've just been going through those, so this is great!

Mine needs some tweaking.” Perfect timing :) I’m already rocking the Galixite build, minus the cross necklace- thanks for the tip on that one. I’ll craft it tonight. So far, I’ve opened ten birds, but two crit traits are the best I’ve gotten. The bird gods are still mad about Azeos, it seems. I’ve refrained from killing Ra Akar just yet (keeping one carrot to tempt me). You just gave me more motivation to do it. I just recently got the phantom spark for myself and helped my friend get the rune song. Hopefully those get some kind of upgrade path to keep them legendary.
good point. If you're looking to add to your crit hit chance while removing it in other places like weapon or armor, the mold ring is good to make up for it. If you're willing to sacrifice the other bonus'.
Wouldn't the Subterrier make for a much better choice as a pet? You can pick "Asserting Dominance" three times for 45% damage against bosses, together with "Laser Point Play" for 10% Critical Hit Chance and "Breaking Skin" for 30% Critical Hit Damage. Might also want to try out the "Spine Ring" that gives +28% damage against bosses? Love the video. I just subscribed!
I'm very envious of your Owlux. I've been hunting for Lively eggs and the most I've gotten on any Owlux is three crit skills. I'm still on the fence about the triple hit because it's just 2%. One day I'll get the Owlux with 4 crit chance and 1 crit dmg
I think, you should test out the Paladin set, but switch out the rings and try include the Morpha Rings and that one Ring that gives Boss Damage. Having one of each, or 2x Morphas, see how that compares.
@@DakonsMadhouse neat, yeah because you can already get over the max needed CHC, so throwing on the morpha ring for it's MASSIVE CHD stat might be the way to go. Plus im not sure how much of an impact the other ring that just gives +%Boss Damage changes things, but it would be interesting
Question… with the pet rock that gives 14+ effectiveness to your pet skills, if you combine that with an owlux does that boost its crit chance to the owner even more then???
I'd assume so, but that's not worth it. 14% of 15% crit chance is not very high. The offhand gives more crit. At least I thought 1 effectiveness was 1%.
Have you ever considered/tested paladin armor w buff food to max crit, and prioritizing the triple damage on owlux instead? 4-5 rolls of triple damage and still nearly maxed crit, I wonder how that would compare in extended fight dps
I have and I like the survivability of the design because of the extra dodge the paladin set gives you. Its very helpful, but you do sacrifice crit damage and overall its not as powerful a build as others in the video. But it does have a better survivability rate.
so thorns damage does damage to enemies when they hit you, vs you hitting them. But if you wear the Scarab armor you will also be able to add your thorns damage to your hits.
Hey man i watch all your vids and i recently beat the game including all bosses as well as pretty much all rare items (rune song, phantom spark, etc), ive mostly just been farming and expanding my base for the past few days, is there any endgame activities that you recommend? or something challenging i could try? i feel like i will get bored soon. yes it does have higher crit damage but the dagger has higher crit chance. When I compared the two I mostly found they were close to the same. Its practically a lateral move to do the chakram. but when fighting bosses you will crit more often with the daggers than with the chakram and the daggers beat bosses faster as a result, but only by like 1-3 seconds.
thank you for great responses, is the answer same for the galaxite dagger vs the crystal spear/ritual dagger? the ritual dagger has crit chance and damage bonus. im working on slime farm for potions right now, mainly grinding consumables like food but i find fishing very boring so we will see. thank u
@@caedenbeard2304 The nice thing about this build is that if you prefer a different weapon you can make it work. I recently tried swapping out my offhand and my crit hit dropped to 87% but I was still critting pretty much every time (I got 1 noncrit hit on igneous) and I was doing like 8k dmg. even more than in my video. So swap out to the weapon you prefer and if you notice you're getting too many non-crit hits for your taste, swap in a piece of paladin armor or something to up that crit hit a bit but without changing your preferred weapon.
this build still works but there is better available. If you level this build to max it will still kill bosses in like 4 seconds. I hope to have a new crit build video out in the next few weeks though.
Did they nerf alot of the crit chance from gear and food ? i realize like the epic elder mold cheese only gives 21% additional crit chance, and the polished copper necklace only give 7% additional crit chance. The polished spike ring also only give 7% additional crit chance and the concealed blade gives only 10% additional crit chance now. Compared to this video, they are at a higher value of additional crit chance. Btw i upgraded the necklace , the rings and the concealed blade to lvl 14, so thats an additional +1% crit chance. Which means they are lower 1% more before i upgrade them. So did i miss something or did they really nerf the crit chance on the items and food ?
there was a huge new update to the game yesterday that added item levels. I wouldn't doubt that they re-balanced items to fit into the new item leveling system. I haven't had a chance to compare old vs new yet. Its entirely possible that you need to pump a few levels into the items to bring them back up to the numbers you see here.

@@johnmike8183 I haven't looked yet but when I get off work I'll check it out. When it comes to the upgrades, sometimes there's no upgrade to a number in that level but the next level there is. So level 15 might not raise crit chance, but 16 might.
Meanwhile me here rocking thorns build with triple damage melee crit and ended up 4 shotting Igneous Love the consistent builds though as it's easier to achieve and mine tends to rely heavily on foods to get consistent crits(Even though it avarage 9k non-crit lmao)
ya its nice to find a bit more consistency. My earlier builds relied too much on RNG and many builds need food to really make them amazing. This one works just fine without food. Obviously its better with it, but the fact thats its a viable endgame build without food is amazing.
they have been readjusted with the new upgrade system which came out after I made this video. Just put a couple levels of upgrades into them and they'll be fine.

Unfortunately, these builds have been nerfed to absolute shreds as of the Shimmering Frontier update. Most, if not all, of the gear/food shown here gives significantly less crit chance buffs, even at max level.

Fyi, the Mold Ring gives +13% critical hit chance, rather than the Polished Golden Spike Ring’s +9% crit chance, albeit without the +22% crit damage

The subterrier doesn't benefit the player. The pet's bonus' only apply to the pet. The Owlux is the only pet that buffs the player.

if you haven't made a mob farm yet, that can be a bit time consuming. I've been slowly making a fishing village in azeos' wilderness.
