    Thank you for talking about player feedback being ignored, it feels like they only listen to the big figureheads in their community like recently, with how Inu was complaining that the health threshold for jumping into the void in depths was too forgiving, so they changed it to 75% if you’re getting attacked by a person, which is possibly the worst change made. And with agamatsu recently complaining about saltchemist as he got ganked by 4 people who were all saltchemists, and everyone’s basically anticipating a nerf today, even though everyone’s been complaining about saltchemist for months and every plea to nerf it has been ignored. It’s like the community has been conditioned to expect changes to only be made when a big youtuber complains about it. It’s messed up and borderline nepotism in some cases as some UA-camrs are friends with the devs.

      that is because the devs ONLY take suggestions from figureheads in the community. Atleast to my knowledge there has actually been no evidence of a community suggestion being added to deepwoken without the help of someone like agamatsu. they just don't care enough about the community to change it unless there is a dev/ mod that supports the change, unfortunately.

    tbh I don't know why it was rushed. they made it in one week, did an update for it a week after it released, still has many problems and is repetitive, hasn't been updated or resolved since.

      Arch said he "Pulled a Diluvian" which means he just woke up one day, 12 hours before the update and went "yeah I got time" (NO YOU DIDN'T)

      yep. it was made in a day. so then a question arises: "tf were you guys doing for the rest of the week?"
      ik supposedly the dev team is split into different parts, with one group working on conquest, another doing weeklies, so on and so forth, and they also need to """"""test"""""" (optional as deepwoken has proved) for bugs and whatnot, but that doesn't mean you cant make the MAIN content of an update while doing testing at the same time. thats why you have testers and developers

    I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the main killer of this origin, which is the lack of lasting benefits. If I'm void walker, I can teleport to players any time and have a mini base at my fingertips. If I'm deepbound, I basically never have to worry about sanity in the depths, ever, as well as getting access to everything in castle light at all times. If I'm an ignition union worker.. I get.. a tablet that let's me accept jobs remotely, which if I wanna complete, I gotta walk to the area I could've picked them up manually to begin with! Not to mention it's useless once I'm max level? Recently they added this thing in the depths (I think) where you can descend into layer 2 if you're an ignition worker, and spawn at the ignition base with the generator already turned on, but no light hook, giving you a faster layer 2 at the cost of some risk but that's it? Compared to the other 2 origins, that seems incredibly lackluster and specific and just.. not worth it

      tbh i prefer ignition for progging a build over voidwalker ever since the void’s fast travel basically got removed and also cuz the xp boost from dungeons (like ferryman) but yeah it’s pretty lackluster

      @ron3557 it has another use, actually. It gives you jobs you can't find otherwise. Load in as an ignition worker and go to the etrean luminant. You'll find authority patrol jobs from the ministry. So maybe it isn't so bad if you wanna go contractor? Otherwise you can farm quickly in the depths but still. Very lackluster compared to the other 2

    Now here's what's got me worried, not the ignition union origin, not the tedium or anything else... it's the fact that they rarely listen to the community.
    There are multiple reasons why I think this, the first reason is:
    Recently, devs have been ignoring the community's feedback on things, and only make changes based on youtuber complaints. Now, ironically... Eclipse was one of those people that were listened to. A day before eclipse had uploaded (iirc) his W rank video, he was complaining about chime skulls being a thing, and the next day... we got chime skulls removed. The second example is Inu. Inu had complained about the fact that people were jumping into the void to avoid wiping in layer 1, and what did the devs do in the following weekly update? Increase the player combat threshold for falling into layer 2 from 50% total hp to 75% hp. This, in my opinion, is a startling trend within other games as well. For example, fortnite (cringe game): The devs have ignored a majority of the playerbase and only listened to pro-esport players complaints about certain weapons, and it (from what I've seen) ruined the balance of the game. I have considered (at multiple points and times within my time playing the game) to learn how to edit, record, and make gameplay videos, JUST so I could make suggestions that would be seen. This, has me scared for the future of deepwoken, as if the devs keep listening to public figures instead of the community, it's not gonna go in a good direction.

      I wish this Eclipse video focused more on this. It's so saddening how The developers almost full-on ignore ALL suggestions from players. Funny how Agamatsu excuses this as: "Come on guys, lookin through suggentions is Hard, and watching it in video form is easier". I like Aga, but this Take ain't it.

      It sucks ass, but I feel that there's no real good way to communicate this to the devs besides dm spamming that they may never read or might get me banned or something dumb. Except maybe the suggestions channel. But even then you gotta be very invested in the server itself, which I'm not, to even make a suggestion yourself. I've played the game for hundreds of hours and yet I don't get that voice that many others do because they have less specific groups than a guild to connect with.

    Bruh just today's update fixed megalodaunt's coral spear going through walls, it made lava damage mobs, and removed x-ray vision from broodlords and brutes. This truly was a deep woken.

    I think the reason to why the community as a whole is and was disappointed about the Ignition Union origin is it has been a LONG standing meme/actual request for the game. since verse one when the playerbase largely consisted of more educated players. People wanted something cool surrounding the ignition union. We got a bit of that when layer 2 drop with the Arcwarder stuff but it still just felt like so much stuff had potential.
    After waiting for a long time we finally got something that just REALLY didn't live up to expectations. We wanted a lore filled, idk, something, lore, cool union tech, *new* mobs(not reskins) and probably more. but we didn't really get any of that. so we were let down. not to mention the origin doesn't give passives like voidwalker or deepbound does. underwhelming and not living up to any hype whatsoever.

    13:23 deepowken lore nerd here. it could actually very well be lore accurate since the drowned gods are enemies of the celestials and ethiron attacked the celestial city of constellia with mind controlled kyrsgardes, parasites and likely also bonekeepers and saramaed mountain very well has ties to celestials (there's a star tree nearby which has ties to celestials and the drawings in the dungeon itself has what appears to be drawings of navae and the gremors). and considering the fact that carbuncles (fully grown eternal gale parasites) exist in the dungeon it wouldn't even be far fetched to say that this could be very plausible

    As a Roblox developer, those invisible walls are the mesh parts having less precise collision hitboxes, which there is a setting in these mesh parts which can make them more precise. Idk how the developers couldn't have done it. It's ONE setting change.

    Also, unrelated, they probably removed flamekeeper Cestus drops from Aratel, it took me 7 hours to fucking find one and I only stayed at Aratel because I wanted money for my guild base, you know the hive quest to kill a certain enemy and go back for a huge chest? Yeah? I GOT 2 FUCKING PYRE KEEPERS BEFORE A CESTUS! I was going chainwarden, and I had to ruin my reputation with the authority by doing the Etrean hostage quest, and then after that didn’t work, I went to a random island and GOT FUCKING 3 OF THEM IN ONE ARATEL CHEST!     You know whats the saddest thing about deepwoken toxicity?
    That was the point. The entire point of rogue lineage [the game that put the devs on the market] WAS to be toxic to others, WAS to have to ruin other people's progression to progress. Hell, they didn't do much about people outright being horrible to each other past gameplay.
    ... They didn't even listen to the players back then. I'd argue they didn't learn enough from rogue lineage.

    funny thing about the 'no climbing with fuel/ore'
    you can, but the fuel has collision boxes, making it incredibly awkward or outright impossible with multiple
    this is (to my knowledge) the only pick up with intentional collision. currently, artifacts also have collision, but this is most likely unintentional as a part of some patch or bug as i dont remember them always having collision when i started playing, and players/npcs dont have collision when picked up, nor does the boulder (off memory, im not opening the game to fact check a youtube comment), etc

    So I'd like to give my own two cents on a few of these things, not that my two cents matter much but it may help with some of the disappointment to show off some of the good things about the Origin.
    First off, As a progression Saramaed hollow is trash no doubt but it does have a massive loot table that allows players who can't fight Maestro, layer 2, or Diluvian to access enchant stones with relative ease. Once you're power 20 most builds can wipe out the monsters pretty quick.
    Second off, This Origin doesn't lock you out of the trial of one like some do and allows for prog that is faster than boss spam, if you trial of one and then pager at starswept you can gain exp incredibly quickly while also massively boosting your rep with all factions in the area. It's easier than fighting certain bosses at low level and the rep boost makes getting things such as Chainwarden or Contracter (If you're in the Etrean Luminant) significantly easier since you can take contracts from each respective faction without having to run all the way to their board and back.
    Third off, The Faction exclusive deep drill is really nice, if you're confident in your layer 2 gameplay it cuts down your time by about half to get to chaser and being that you don't have lighthook you get the light-hookless bonus when using it making it technically the best farm endgame for the speed boost.
    That being said Saramaed is still incredibly disappointing as a progression path and with a lack of endgame features beyond the deep drill I really hope your video gives them the kick in the ass needed to give the origin a slight revamp.

    I just find it annoying that the DEVELOPERS cant even realize it themselves when something is terrible or broken. The community really shouldn't have to step in

    It's possibly the fastest progression if you just stack monster bounties and do them for a ton of exp and reputation.
    The best way to progress the origin is to not play the origin.
    The hollow is just terrible for progressing.
    It's really boring and lackluster, shouldn't the ignition be drilling through the depths?
    It's my favorite origin now just because of the boosted mission exp, and being able to safely grind with players at lordsgrove with the union pager.

    4:51 Honestly i do agree with the enemies should die to the lava, but one reason they most likely didnt make it that way is because it would allow an easy cheese to the dungeon all you'd have to do is mine and no one wants that. I've played the dungeon multiple times with my friends before and I agree its boring since u kill, mine over and over atleast they made the loot good.

      There should be an invisible wall for the mobs (just like for that one bone keeper in layer 2) OR just give the mobs better pathfinding/add a way for the mobs to escape the lava

      @@plxyer3813 They definitely spent more time on map design than the actual concept so they definitely wouldn't do that. The best course of action that isn't too time consuming is to add invisible *mob walls near large chasms and increase the tick and tick damage you take from standing in lava pools. *(Invis walls that stop mobs)
      OR just make the giant lava chasm shoot you back out (like the green jump pads) while doing heavy fire damage. Hell, make it do the same to mobs

    Oh, the testing? They, for some reason, thought it's a good idea to let people know they did their homework an hour before the deadline, hence the update's release at like 7pm for me instead of the usual 1pm.

    The update they made just fixed some of the things you mentioned, like the broodlord xray and lava damages the mobs now.

    9:52 ngl im thankful that as a D3 Hollow user I only got around playing after the change logs said they changed it to clumping the ores… (yes, originally the ores did not clump together). I also kinda ended up making ore routes for 5-7 ores on every map that don’t require me to climb or dash…
    The only thing making Hollow halfway decent is the end game loot, progging through it is so bad that it’s only worth it if you genuinely just hate encountering other people and you wanna just lock in for 3 hours and do a slow prog with tons of cash…
    Hollow genuinely has some really good loot, past 1.5k meters you get chests filled with 3 star cyans and purples including my favorite equipment, Ignition Gauntlets which give an innate talent which normally only like 1 outfit in the entire game has along with really good pip stats.
    Also the dungeon really needs more variety, let us get more depths mobs since it’s clearly meant to be an area in between the layers, give us some Terrapods, Gigameds, Nightmare Threshers, King Threshers, and so on, PLEASE.
    And add a way to skip floors once you’ve beaten it.. floors 800-1400 are worthless compared to 1500+

    That's insane- Sharko attacking through walls got called a "bug" and they can't do that anymore. Brutes/Broodlords now don't have an Xray vision and now IgnitionUnion has a bank and anitquarian in depths. Seemingly after your video it got done- although I think it might be a little stretching it out- But nice to see those things FINALLY touched- Now we wait for sarameed hollow polish

    You missed one of the good points of this origin, they have an exclusive furnance only for igniton unions, (im pretty sure its exclusive since i tried to use it on my non-ignition union origin and it didn't give a choice to turn in the alloys) but you can turn in 3 pluripotent alloys for a smith alloy, which in turn you can craft into armourer's alloy. These relics are pretty good for getting armor with insane pips. And you can go to the chariot spire or something, this doesn't matter tbh.

    I do want to say while the origin is lacking, Arch is actively improving on it, unlike other content where the devs just ignore it, arch has openly said in the discord that he will continously add onto the origin due to how lackluster it is, he's even read a whole doc me and Deepdelver Sushi (A member of the community obsessed with the ignition union) wrote and stuff like the pager, the armours,etc came from that doc. While the player feedback issue is really prominent, the origin is like the only exception since it's been getting updated and things have been gotten added onto it since it came out

    fair and honest video, as many, it concerns me as many things go left untested or change or buggy for so long. Deepwoken Devs need help or to seriously change up their act in order to handle their game.
    Another thing, parts of the video remember me of The Angry Video Game Nerd, completely a good thing, he does funny reviews of crappy old games. However it does make me sad that Deepwoken has such avoidable problems.

    Eclipse, I'm 5 minutes deep, I agree with everything you said so far and devs seem to think the same, you talked about the problem of lava DMG to mobs and the update log contains a information about it doing DMG now, the second think about the broodlords/brutes they made them NOT have x-ray vision, I think you really did influence the deppwoken devs

    they had the chance to make the origin a layer 2 focused origin where you had a special area of layer 2 made for freshies thats less dangerous (no traps/bs). That gave you more xp then divers for more of a challenge cause ngl deepbound is quite easy once you learn how to prog it.

I want there to be new monsters that are weaker then bonekeepers/bounders and are stornger then layer 1 mobs, that spawn when you have a job active.

    it makes the collisions of the part extremely wonky. its either you have weird invisible walls or you are at 25 fps max at all times.

    I believe the the current issue with the updates is that they are suffering from lack of meaningful content or content that should be worked on more but released regardless in order to meet the weekly update status quo. There is nothing wrong with weekly updates, but having them to have content in some way or form every week leads to burnout, over-saturation of content, and content that should had been pushed out together with other content to add extra hype over

    the funniest part is theres no reason using the new dungeon to progress an ignition origin slot because using the pager and just farming normally at starswept valley is just so much faster. The EXP gain from the pager is actually so fast that its just simply better than going lone warrior because you can for some reason go into trial of one with the ignition origin. They made a better trial of one origin.

    fun fact. They got an invsiable wall that only mobs can interact with but not the player in the game. If you wanna know where: the bonekeeper bridge in layer 2. The bonekeeper can't fall of there but you can. Would it really have been so hard to set up a few of those walls in this dungeon so enemies don't walk into the lava?

    This is what I wanna see for this dungeon and I would like to know your thoughts:
    I want the max depth to be way higher. I want the map rotation and selection system to be revamped. I want the mob difficulty to be revamped. I want the rewards system to be revamped. I want the maps themselves to be tweaked.
    I have a video on my channel I made a bit ago that showcases just an example or concept algorithm I made for the mob difficulty that the devs can make something off of or get an idea of. It gives a much better to the devs than just words in my opinion and it is something I am able to make without knowing how Deepwokens internal systems work such as their loot-tables. I will not be talking about mob difficulty or loot below as I believe they can do it dynamically with how deep down the player goes (depth).
    (the starting depth is a bit random in-game rn)
    Starting Depth to 2K Depth:
    Rotates between 6 different maps at random that are pretty open and easy to traverse with ways to get up after falling down
    Instead of lava, have magma that damages you 2.5% of your maxhealth every second you stand on it
    Monsters have tougher skin than you and cannot be damaged by the magma
    2.1K Depth to 6K Depth:
    Rotates between 13 different maps at random that are also pretty open but might have some jumps to get across stuff and some jagged edges with steeper hills. It shall also have little beaches below the giant rocks you spawn on up above. These little stone beaches will allow you to struggle to get on after falling into the lava which is discussed below.
    Instead of magma, have actual lava that damages you 12.5% of your maxhealth every second while being in it. Instead of just standing on it, reuse the not being able to swim echo modifier (One Bit) animation so that it looks like you are struggling to get out of the lava as you swim out of it before you die. It will be just like drowning in water instead of something you stand on and of course it will be recolored to be lava. You will be able to swim to the little stone beaches as said above to get out of the lava. After getting out of the lava, you will still be on fire damaging you 2.5% of your maxhealth every second instead.
    Monsters will not be able to swim out of the lava and will take damage by 20% of their maxhealth every second and if they have ranged attacks they will still be able to shoot you while they struggle until they melt in the lava. If you dealt damage to this monster and then they died in the lava, you will only receive a quarter of the EXP.
    6.1K Depth to 7K Depth:
    Rotates between 6 different maps at random that are way less open and are almost labyrinth like added with steep and sharp drops and edges. There is more cracks of lava in places where you can get set on fire. At the start there will be full on tunnels that you can traverse that lead to bigger and more open rooms with pits of bubbling molten metal. The lightning in these levels will be much darker and you will also loose thirst faster while running around in these levels.
    Instead of lava, there is molten metal composed of iron and nickel. You and monsters will instantly explode upon dipping into the metal having all your blood boil into steam, bursting out your pores; tearing your or the monsters skin in the process. You won't receive EXP for hitting monsters into the metal.
    There can be an extra check here in the code that scales up the loot multiplier for these levels. This will still work with the dynamic system because if the depth here isn't present, then it will just proceed with whatever else.
    Some monster tweaks:
    If a monster every gets too far away from it's spawnpoint and not attacking anything for too long have it get teleported back to it's spawnpoint. Have the stone monsters or as I called them "cobbled" only have some parts of it turned to stone so you can still identify what monster it is such as not being able to tell the difference between a cobbled Broodlord and a cobbled Mudskipper Brute.
    General additions to the maps:
    Add bigger rocks in the pits for players to fall onto instead of having gigantic pits (not in the final levels). Spice up the lava geyser pits with maybe some chunky lava or lava dripping down the sides with cracks. Add more dead flowers and maybe some scorched trees to improve the look. Add some bubble particle effects to the lava and maybe some charcoal-like or burnt dust floating in the air or falling from the ceiling. Maybe add some like burn logs or some skeletons of monsters floating in the lava. There are probably many more things that could be added, but I think this would boost the atmosphere a lot.
    Important map tweaks:
    Fix the improper collision geometry on the rock/spike meshes so the "invisible walls" problem doesn't occur.
    Special permanent tool given to you upon picking the origin:
    You are given a "Basket" which will be modeled after a rattan backpack. Upon using this tool, you equip it on your back. While wearing the Basket, as you mine ores, you can fill up the inventory of the Basket. The Basket can hold 16 materials and each ore is equal to 1 material while an Ignition Dungeon Crystal (drill fuel) takes up 2 materials. If you mine while not having the Basket equipped, the ores act like normal. If you right-click on the Basket in your inventory you can "Dump" it out into your inventory or if it is a Ignition Dungeon Crystal, it will be dumped onto the floor infront of you. You will be able to attack while wearing the Basket but the more ore you have, you will move at a slower pace. You will not be able to unequip the Basket if there are ores inside of it. Upon death, you lose all ores instead of the Basket and spawn with it unequipped.
    An extra note:
    If you are wondering why I think there so be so many maps, they made the 3 maps and the entire rest of the dungeon in a single day. I think they can take like a month to make the 25 maps and make them quality. I feel like there should be a lot of different things to explore cuz like I'm traveling underground in a crazy dangerous place with the ground having lava cracking into it. You are literally going thousands of meters under the Earth's (or whatever planet Deepwokens world is on) surface. You are working this job for this crazy company researching cutting edge technology who sent you into the deepest parts of the planet to fetch information that they need to continue research. The Ignition Union literally setup base in The Eternal Gale, they are battling gods man.

      If they do test why is it like this? It's so buggy and it's just a mess, and like he said the big issue was that the mobs get stuck and you can't get rewards and is just something that would not fly under the radar easily.

      As agamatsu himself has said, a lot of the testers bring up very valid and well thought out suggestions or bugs but the devs dont always check. This origin was rushed and made within a week, and only touched upon maybe 3 times after.

    Union origin is even more pointless than you think, because only good thing about it, you got job tablet that shows you nearby jobs. To enter dungeon you don't even need to be igniton delver.

    As of the update today, broodlords won't have xray vision, and the lava now hurts mobs, sharko's coral laser no longer goes through walls as well. Just wanted to mention that.

    I think something that would help the origin would be making the ores a currency like the kyrsan medallion. Whatever extra ores you can take back up with you and spend on rewards. If they really want it to be good they could turn it into a real roguelike and make it so spending ores can be used to modify and upgrade your run. Imagine spending 10 ores before your run and bow the drill is equpped with turrets that deal damage to nearby enemies like the one in castle light. Or spend like 50 and permanently make it so that your drill needs one less ore to go down for each tier. Or maybe even something like a hard mode with 20 ore and for that run it spawns more modified mobs for each floor but the loot in the chests get boosted to have something that can compete with diluvian.

    The invisible wall thing is collision fidelity. It is set to auto/performance which makes roblox make a different collision box to better performance. It is the default option so they didnt bother checking.

    The exp is really bad It's a cool concept but it's kind of lack luster, all you do is collect ore kill all mobs and continue I wish it had more to do or something like that. I really like the loot it's really good on the later stages but it takes about an hour of mining killing mobs and repeating the process just for the good loot.

    With the enemies not taking damage from lava there is a similar issue in upper erisia with the acid. The enemies just don't take damage from it, even human enemies. Now when you fall into acid when youre nocked you just die, but when npcs get nocked in acid they just lay there untill they get back up.

    the dungeon was literally made in 1 day (confirmed by archmage). this is what happens when you rush content. they have an entire WEEK to do this shit and they just do everything last minute. thats the problem with the weekly updates is they dont do them in one week, they do them in a DAY

    not to say you made this video for nothing its just that this dungeon isn't exclusive/ part of the ignition union. Its just an over world version of deepbound spawning at the deluvient mechanism which everyone can use regardless of orgin. The buff of going ignition union is just not very good until recently. As all it had was an ability to use job boards everywhere and exp buff for dungeon and jobs. But now i would argue its actually decent just for layer 2 speed runs and smith alloy farming. This is because you can use the drill in the union base in the depth to skip all the way to the end of bounder nest (quite sure) at the cost of not having light hook and combin 3 purplet alloy (the relic to upgrade beginner weapons to end game) into a smith alloy (the relic to give your weapon or increase the star on the weapon)

Well the game got sold to new owners fishgroupstudios, I remember thinking the game was really bad wich it was, but the point here is, the new devs are revamping the entire game rn and my question is, are you going to try it again? I would love to see your opinion bc it was and still is one of my favourite games

    in defence of the invisible walls, there has been a bug going on (not sure for how long since i last played yesterday and not counting that then i played over 4 months ago) where specifically slopes are invisible, not all of them but many are
