One story my dad always tells me is when he used to bounce in the clubs. He ended up being a body guard for jadakiss for a night back in the day. Ish’s face when he said “fly in the buttermilk” was priceless.
That’s how we feel when you say that slick shit Ish.

Crazy how much I identify with Jadakiss. Good home but chose the streets. 🐐 I regret it but I’m here now 🤷🏾‍♂️

Mentality and perspective become big factors and aren't necessarily shaped by A Mom or Dad you live with. Certain choices and paths change your trajectory physically and mentally to a point that some 25+ years later you never realized the exact point you began to skew from your potential. It take so much more to be strong and stand up despite outside influences in youth, staying true to yourself and your own vision rather coopting or following others for mistaken admiration of what basically amounts to bullshit and foolishness as a Man. SALUTE for the dialouge

Joe's podcast is one of the best out there. Hope he can continue getting all these legends of hip hop and R&B on the show in the future. I'm 33 and feel so old seeing all these old school rappers nearing middle age 😅
