Now I’m riding a roller coaster of pain, anger, and concern about our child’s well-being. I call 911 and the paramedics come and determine a dose of liquid Benadryl will get him out of the woods. Now that he’s fine I’m all in on the rage that has fully engulfed me. When she enters our home. I ask her about the numerous voicemails and 911 text I sent, to which she replied her phone fell between the seat and she had just retrieved it. I calmly informed her about the medical emergency as well as my distrust in her bringing her up to speed on my knowledge of her infidelities as well as the sources I had obtained. We seek counseling and discover that the sexual assault carried a much heavier toll on our relationship than either one of us was consciously understanding. So now I’m shouldered with feelings of helplessness and jealousy when she’s gone. When social media came it was too much for me to want to work on trust being rebuilt, so sadly we parted ways. I say all that to say it carries an emotional toll similar to death in that different people react in as many different emotional ways as there are. OH! Before I unintentionally overloaded you with my baggage my intent was to talk about a coat I had purchased for her that she was wearing at the time and the police collected as evidence. She obsessed on it being returned to her. And I said you have many but I will buy you as many more as required for you to be at peace, to which she responded that the coat had helped her endure the trauma because it was a gift of my desire to shield her and keep her protected from the elements, and she felt as though I was doing my best to protect her from her attacker while experiencing the assault.

Years go by and I’m sitting on our desktop and an AOL instant message pops up asking had “I” left home yet? I respond to an ex classmate of hers pretending to be her that I’m out the door now. He responds back, the door is unlocked I’ll be waiting between the sheets. I’m floored and disillusioned. I don’t say a peep about it, but months later our youngest child had a severe allergic reaction and she was not answering her cell. I become irate and send a message to the classmate telling him to send my wife home. He starts off with I’m sorry for dishonoring your marriage, but I stopped seeing her after finding out there was someone else other than you or I she was dealing with. Now I’m riding a roller coaster of pain, anger, and concern about our child’s well-being. I call 911 and the paramedics come and determine a dose of liquid Benadryl will get him out of the woods. Now that he’s fine I’m all in on the rage that has fully engulfed me. When she enters our home. I ask her about the numerous voicemails and 911 text I sent, to which she replied her phone fell between the seat and she had just retrieved it. I calmly informed her about the medical emergency as well as my distrust in her bringing her up to speed on my knowledge of her infidelities as well as the sources I had obtained. We seek counseling and discover that the sexual assault carried a much heavier toll on our relationship than either one of us was consciously understanding. So now I’m shouldered with feelings of helplessness and jealousy when she’s gone. When social media came it was too much for me to want to work on trust being rebuilt, so sadly we parted ways. I say all that to say it carries an emotional toll similar to death in that different people react in as many different emotional ways as there are. OH! Before I unintentionally overloaded you with my baggage my intent was to talk about a coat I had purchased for her that she was wearing at the time and the police collected as evidence. She obsessed on it being returned to her. And I said you have many but I will buy you as many more as required for you to be at peace, to which she responded that the coat had helped her endure the trauma because it was a gift of my desire to shield her and keep her protected from the elements, and she felt as though I was doing my best to protect her from her attacker while experiencing the assault.
