Great work guys, enjoyable to watch. Just to note you can only put one re roll on a brigade and you have to put infantry assault on a brigade if you want to support an infantry charge. We all miss something in the heat of the game. Keep up the good work.
Hi Guys, Lovely figures and good chat between you. Nice to see the updated rules tested out. Can I ask after 16 minutes you left your troops in the middle of the river... no need to do that....
I'm only halfway through this, brother... I'm assuming you have discovered the damage columns for shooting without moving and the ones with damage caused when firing after moving.... Great job, Gents! Thank you for sharing! I was screwing up several skirmisher rules which I learned from your game. Thank you for the help 🍺
Great battle and looked awesome. I like the look of GDA2 but will have to wait till after CrackCon. Once I get my Sharp Practice 28mm force done, it will be solid ACW painting till Octoberl :)
Having watched 34 minutes of this video my advice to you is to reread the rules again! You made so many mistakes! You seem to be playing General d'armee 1but trying to use version2!!!
@@BootsontheTable Don't worry! It was a good game and everyone makes mistakes when trying out new rules - cross-matching GdA1 to GdA2 is only to be expected in the first game. Look forward to seeing more.😎
Yeah - definitely saw some GdA1 rules worming their way into the game, especially the initiative roll. I heard you guys giving -1 DRM’s for the hesitant brigades instead of adding a die to the normal 2d6 roll. Two points to make here. First, it doesn’t matter because you guys appeared to have a lot of fun (noisy neighbor notwithstanding 😁). Second, you had the stones to video the game, mistakes and all, and post it for all to see. If anybody wants to come at you too hard about the rules mistakes, tell them to go bugger off and make their own freaking video!!
Excellent battle report and gaming, love the banter between you two. I’m looking forward to playing this scenario.
Thanks. I love the banter too ;)
Great stuff Dom, GDA2 is such a great set of rules.
Yeah we loved the flow, yes we got some rules wrong but still very good
Its not a wargame if you don't get rules wrong...
@StormofSteelWargaming too true

Ah, thanks. I completely missed that in the rules

Cheers. Not sure what we were doing in the river but thanks!

No completely missed those tables!

Understandable. We need to play some more GDA2 but we both agreed it felt ‘right’
About halfway through and Dom just took the whooping. I was thinking how Dom looked in a good place to win, but now I'm not sure!
I think I was too passive to start, which isn't usually my style
Thank you , Dom .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
you are most welcome as always
Cool battle report. 👍
thanks, we enjoyed it
See 4.3.2 limits on how many scouting attempts the attacker can make
OK thanks - someone already pointed that out
Dom you need to read 7.4 for the turn initiative. You are not rolling enough dice!
Ok
Great game!
it was great fun
Marvellous!!
thanks it was great fun
Great 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😉
thank you

I bow to your perfect knowledge
