Overlapping and leaving plenty of stump for the 2nd cut is key so you get a good bite on your pilot. We offer a 10" and 16" in 2" hex. You can keep pressure on the auger. The threaded pilot will screw in which is what you want. This helps to self feed the auger into the stump.
I just received mine and have a couple of suggestions for you guys . My blades were damaged from shipping , it wouldn't be too hard to put some cardboard corner protection over them and shrink wrap it to keep it on there , all three of my blades have some damage because it was shipped without anything over them . Second , the screw on tip . I unscrewed it to find no grease or anti seize on it and the treads had already rusted quit a bit . Two things that don't cost anything and don't take much time and would have made a lot better impression on me than mine did. Thanks .
@@onthelake9554 there has been a delay on our packaging. We have some heavy duty boxes coming to protect the cutting edges and point. I'll look into the anti seize and/or grease.
@@gdanuser That's great , It will save both parties some headache . I'm looking forward to using mine soon . I bought yours because it looks much more heavy duty than the other one that's out there and at 16" it's bigger . I will have about 50 pine stumps to remove soon . Thanks for your reply and quick shipping !
Im not sure if it would or not. I would think you need more torque than they make. You can also call Danuser to see what they think. They may have already tried it before.
