- Taken from my performance for JOIN, a VR live streaming event for game developers which took place last Monday, June 29 on AltspaceVR.
This one, as you may know, is my drum arrangement for Rossini's "William Tell Overture". It was my first public experiment with classical music back in 2007, and later it became the opening track of my "Classical Drumming" album, recorded with an actual symphony orchestra.

2007 nostalgia
A "few" years later and he still got it!
I feel young listening to him drum to this, I was glued to our Dell 15 inch monitor (family computer at the time) listening to this.
Finally we can hear in modern high quality the crazy polyrithm at 0:49.

I just can't believe, I've been following you for 13 years..
it was this video that I found randomly on YT that long ago and I remember watching it 10 times in a row, downloading it, and showing it to some friends. Not just this, this one was the video that started it all, for me. Tell, Mario 1-3, barbier, paradigm shift, the D, rondo all turca.. I had them all on my hard drive until it got destroyed a year ago.
The sound of both your china and that stack were so iconic at that time to me. At some point, I had completely memorized what you were playing, but I couldn't reproduce it, I tried it anyway, haha. You were a huge influence to me back then and still are to this day.
awesome times back then, keep up the amazing work, would still love to see more of these!
And thank you for uploading these in a modern look, but sticking to the original track.

I was 17 when I saw the original version you put up in 07 and my god that was one of the greatest videos I had ever seen from a drummer and here it is again now, 13 years later with a new coat of paint and still sounding just as good as it did back then! You're amazing buddy and it's great to see you still active on the platform!

Listen I love you Vadrum. Your album is my go to listening for anxiety. However.. I wish you would have re-interpreted your drum parts on these 2020 versions of your covers 😕. The MOST important lesson you have taught us all through the years is that drums can change the entire song. Especially with these classical songs. The changes in feel, change EVERYTHING and I thank god and you that you shared that lesson with us, and me personally all those years ago. Much love, and forever grateful.

Wow, still sounds great! The only disappointing aspect of the video was no shot of the footwork like in the original :) I've watched others vids of William Tell on drums, Vadrum still the best
