So once my 11th grade was over, I received my high school diploma and instead of spending my last year in school like I was supposed to, I actually got the chance to travel to Tokyo for 3 months and Seoul for 1 month and then I spent the rest of the year working and saving more money for bigger projects. A lot of the people I spoke to thought that I must have been some kid genius or something
....and who knows... maybe I am haha ;P
but me graduating high school has less to do with the fact that I'm a genius and more to do with my passion for travel and how that drove me to plan my high school career. So here are some of the tips I used to graduate high school early and I hope it helps you in someway!

How did you approach your guidance counselor about graduating early.. I'm a really shy person & I don't think I'd know how to go about it, like how to ask her .
Try to look up the different guidance counsellors that work at your school and then pick the one that seems the nicest haha :D Then see if there is a way that you can send them an email explaining your situation! This way you don't necessarily have to meet them in person! ^_^

In US you can actually do that too, but no one talks about it. So every time i asked my counselor how i can graduate high school early, she ignored my questions. So I just had to do the research on my own. I took the California High School Proficiency Test btw, and graduated one year earlier than I was supposed to, just like you did.

seriously this is such an awesome channel! I doubt I would be able to do this since my grades for the past 2 years were kinda shit but your channel has given me hope so I'll try my damn best. this was so motivational and your so pretty!!! and I have a question, I'm about to go into sophomore year and in 9th grade last year I didn't do that well, I mean I didn't fail and I had like 2 advanced classes, but do you think (obviously with hella work) I could graduate early? I don't want to approach my guidance counselor if I don't really have a chance yknow?

At my school they have lots of programs for graduating early I'm in middle school and I'm already getting my highschool credits what a wonderful world

Checkout Marissa Leinhart on UA-cam!! She gives lots of advice on graduating early and even skipping highschool entirely.
Is graduating with older friends an okay reasons? That's definitely not my only reason but that is definitely the reason of my thoughts of graduating early?
Yeah, I mean as long as it's a strong enough motivation to keep you working through the weekends and while taking summers classes etc. then it's totally fine! As long as your reason is a true motivation of yours! 'Cause staying motivated is what's truly important! Good luck! :)

I definitely think it's possible to graduate in grade 10. as long as you start getting as many credits as possibly ASAP! 😃
I can so relate! I am graduating a year early and currently taking online classes and I was very fortunate to have an amazing counselor who listened to me in my situation. I was wondering if you took any AP classes? My online classes were AP based and so were my actual school based classes I am taking are AP.

Hey! I love this video. I was wondering about how you first started this, like what was your first step? And also, which website did you use for online classes?
I'm glad you liked the video! ^_^ The first step I took was going to see my guidance counsellor. I explained to her that wanted to graduate early and she helped me create a plan to do so. As for the website I used, it's actually a website run by company that is under the same school board as my high school. So once again, you'd have to talk to your guidance counsellor to find out how to sign up for an online class that your school board recognizes. I hope that helps :)

Okay I’m currently in grade 8 going into grade 9 but I went on a shadow program where your get to see the school you are most likely going to or whatever but my questions are how do you get close to the guidance counsellor? Do you have to schedule a meeting or smt? And did you receive your OSSC idk if you did but it’s a Canadian thing but if you did Did you have to be a certain age?Idk but this video was really informative thank you!!❤️❤️❤️
Kinda late but is it possible to graduate in grade 9? I’m currently a freshman but I want to graduate as soon as possible and for me thats preferably in the grade I’m already in. Very helpful video btw!
Honestly that all depends on how many credit you're missing to graduate! You should ask your guidance counsellor to find out how many you need! For example, if you're only missing two or three credits you could easily get that by taking for example: two online classes and a summer school course! Hope this was helpful! :D

Heyyy I’m soooo late but I have a question! I’m in my junior year of highschool and I believe i have 12 credits and need 24 to graduate. I’m in my 1st semester with 4 classes so by the time I’m in my 2nd semester, I’ll have 16. Do you think I’d be able to graduate early if I take extra courses ? Ik I’m already 3 months in the school year but any thoughts?

I think it could be possible but you would need to take lots of online classes and possibly 2 summer school courses if your school allows it. Ultimately though, It depends on the number of credits you already have and the amount you need to graduate!

I'm going into 11th grade, I ended up with all A's and 1 B, I have 12 or 13 credits and I need 26 credits to graduate, do you think I can still graduate early or is it too late?
It depends on how you many extra credit you can get during grade 11! For example if you typically get 4 credits per semester and you decide to take 3 online classes during your first and second semester then you'll have 26 credit by the time you finish your 11th grade! 😄
Im in grade 7 and I am not good in literacy. I have 3 b's so far and the rest are a's. Is there a way that would help me to graduate early? My school doesn't offer Summer school unless you absolutely need it.
Those are some pretty awesome grades and I think you definitely could graduate early if you keep it up! The best person to ask for some more specify advice though is your guidance counsellor because they could probably offer you some other alternatives to taking summer classes! I have a question? What if you cant pick your guidance counselor and the school pick it for you, and you already had some difficulties and disagreements with her, so should i try to find someone else to guide me? or still try to talk to her? and btw you seem like an amazing person! :)
Awee thanks! 💕 & that's a really good question! I actually had the same problem! The guidance counsellor that I disagreed with was actually meant to help freshmen when I was in grade 9 but she wasn't helping me at all so on my own I actually reached out to another guidance counsellor by email and she was kind enough to help me even if she wasn't technically supposed to! Worst case scenario though, If no other guidance counsellor is willing to help yo, I would just suggest that you talk to some other teacher who you're closer with and explain your situation! Maybe they'll give you some pretty good advice or maybe they can even become your temporary "guidance counsellor"! Hope that helped! 😊

I actually did work while trying to graduate early! I got my first job during my sophomore year of high school and I kept that job for 2 years until I graduated as a junior! I would say that it's doable as long as you manage your time wisely and you don't overwork yourself! 😊
What did you do about tests like did you have to do harder tests to graduate because you're younger and need to pass that grades tests. Did that make sense?
Nope! Thankfully they gave me the same tests as everyone else hahaha 😂😂😂
Im going to 8th grade and my cousins and friends are going to 10th; If when I get to highschool, I take 9th and 10th grade together and 11th and 12th I'll graduate with them, would surrounding myself with people who graduate the same year as me be fine?
Yeah of course! As long as your friends from your grade aren't distracting you from your goal or slowing you down, then it's totally fine to surround yourself with them! However I highly suggest you also ask your cousins and your friends who are going to grade 10 for advice so that they can inspire you to reach your early graduation goal 😉
What grade should we talk to the guidance counselor?
You should talk to your guidance counselor as soon as possible! Preferably in grade 9 when you're a freshman in high school. The earlier you go talk to your counselor, the earlier you can come up with a plan on how to graduate early ^_~
so if I have English 2 on my schedule am I able to do English 3 and four online? I want to graduate because one late birthday and 2 I got held back I'm suppose to graduate at 19 and I wanna graduate at my right age. soo what should I do.i have 10 credits and the total credits to get is 24
Well it depends on what grade you're in but you should definitely ask your guidance counselor if you're able to take English 3 while simultaneously taking English 2. If that isn't a possibility then maybe you can take English 2 during your first semester and then English 3 online during your second semester. If you double up on several of your classes like that every year of high school then you can definitely get to 24 credits a year early! You should make sure to ask your guidance counselor what you're options are though! Hope that helps :D

Yeah I would say my biggest tip is to figure out any way possible to get extra credits! Take as many online classes and weekend classes as possible ( if your school offers them) and during the also try to go to summer school so you can gain some more credits! If you do that for your first 3 years of high school then you'll definitely be able to catch up with your friends and graduate at the same time as them! Good luck 😉

I don't believe there is a maximum age to enroll so even if you're 24 that should be totally fine! :) You just have to make sure that you meet their requirements and that you send your application by the deadline! Hope that helps ^_~

Not necessarily! It depends on your exchange program! Some offer credits and others don’t! If your program doesn’t offer credits then you’ll have to figure out a way to get them before or after you come back from your exchange program!
