Julian I am so PROUD of you for telling Rue's story mate. She was Dion's & your BEAUTIFUL BABY WARRIOR PRINCESS 🩷 What Rue battled & fought throughout her short life is a lesson to us all in how we should face adversity.
She was a FIGHTER who's LEGACY lives on through everyone BLESSED to have had her in their lives & I know that she's had a HUGE LIFELONG impact on mine.
She couldn't have asked for BETTER PARENTS than yous two.
And telling her story will not only HELP & educate others but it also shines attention on the issues & the long waiting times on children's organ transplant which needs imo to be addressed, debated & reviewed.
Sending yous both BIG HUGS & ALL MY LOVE ❤️

Tragic and beautiful, just as bear said. Thank you for sharing your little girls story. It is heartbreaking to listen to but important to be heard because it keeps Rue's legacy going and inspires people. I hope he, his partner and wee Cassie are on the road to healing. ❤

Our children didn't have this problem but we had a 25+5 and a 26+6 wkr. 2lb and 2lb 2oz. The see through bag for the body heat and seeing the size of the medical equipment against the tiny preemies is always scary to see. The same as the beeps and everything in nicu. There was a little baby near our daughter who had this problem. It's always terrifying to see

Our daughter gained an infection due to her line - staphylococcal. They tried lots of different antibiotics but it turned out it was penicillin resistant and they had to coordinate with the infectious disease unit at the children's hospital to try and find a course to work! She had several spinal taps was placed back on a ventilator as she couldn't fight the infection and breathe at the same time. She ended up getting fluid on her brain, swelling to a heart chamber and taking seizures at 1lb 14oz - the fear it puts in you is terrifying (she had dropped weight due to being so severely sick). Thankfully our daughter is now 3yrs old I couldn't imagine her not having made it but thank you for raising so much awareness to not only gastroschisis but also the everyday issues in NICU
