I have four Odyssy hooks… I got them in four colors, so I would be able to instantly know the sizes…much like my beloved Clovers…. I like the weighted feel…even though I have very small hands. I feel absolutely no drag…just the opposite. No wood… or no resin for me. I love the Odyssey.
I always wanted to try Furls hooks. This is a good way to get a Furls Hook without buying one. So I can try it like u did but hopefully I like it more then u did & the weight doesn't bother me. Thanks for the chance
This is a beautiful hook. I would like to try try a different hook to see the difference. I love the color. Thank you for the information. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your giveaway. Have a good day
I would absolutely love to try/have that Furl's hook. 1-I love the color. It's the most beautiful color in the world. 2-I hear they are good for knife holders as I am. 3- I like that they are longer than my hand. Short hooks just aren't comfortable in my hands. Thank you for the opportunity to win this fabulous hook. Merry Christmas Melanie to you and yours!
I agree with you on some things. I have not noticed a drag compared to the wooden ones. I hate that they are not well marked. For that price it needs to be. I don’t mind the weight for short periods of crocheting, but long boughts actually cause me some shoulder pain. I love that they are very balanced. And the customer support at furls is amazing. Thanks for the chance to add this to my hook portfolio.
Beautiful hook the fact that it's heavy could be a bit challenging but would love to try as I'm a knife holder... and my first project with an 8mm! Thank you so much for the opportunity.
Furls hooks are so beautiful, have seen so many content creators show what they purchased. I never had an opportunity to use this beautiful hook. Cant afford such pricey one. Thank u for the opportunity.
I have only smaller oddyssey hooks, so I would love to try the larger one, I love how they have the weight balanced so the hook stays straight, and I have learned with the smller ones, how to let the weight help me crochet, and i can go faster and use less energy. I would love to see if i can do the same with a larger sized one. You are so generous to give away your hook.
What a beautiful hook! Thank you so much Melanie! Merry Christmas! May God richly bless you and your family. I've never tried a Furls hook, and I would like to try it.
I hope to try a Furls hook someday. I have heard that you can crochet longer with a Furls hook without any pain or cramping. They are said to work well with arthritic hands. And they are so beautiful!!!
I have tried the wooden hook. I do enjoy a hood with a little weight on it. I like how the handle looks and would feel good in my hand. I get cramps when I have to hold on to a regular crochet hook.
I have been wanting to try the furls hooks out for sometime, I just couldn’t get myself to spend that much on a hook. I love my clovers, and hold my hook like a knife, and love the indentation for my thumb, and the furls don’t have that, and to hear it has drag, is disappointing, when they cost so much, but everyone is different and that is why there are so many different hooks for peeps to choose from. Have a wonderful day, and a Merry Christmas.
I do not own a furls hook. I would love to try one. They are so beautiful and interesting looking. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway. Merry Christmas!
I have been eyeballing these hooks for a while. They are very pretty. I'm not crazy about the resin hook because of the drag. Have a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 😊 ❤️
Thank you for this opportunity to receive a Furls. I have wanted to try Furls after seeing them on multiple podcasts. I am very interested in comparing the weight of the Odyssey to my Clover amour and seeing how it affects my tension. Merry Christmas!
A crochet buddy let me try her hook like this one I love the weight and feel of it thank you for this give a way 🧶🥰❤️🧶🥰❤️🎁🎁🎁🎁🧶🧶🧶 HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL 🎁
In line hooks are my favorite. I have never tried a furls hook. I don't know if the weight would be an issue, but think the fat handle would definitely be a plus. Thank you for the chance to win. Have a great day!!
Hi Mel, I would like to try this furls hook. I've never tried them, and I hear so much about them. It would be nice to see what everyone is talking about.
That is a beautiful hook! I'd love to try out the larger size and I wonder how much the weight differs from the smaller sizes. Thank you for the great review.
I love the color of the hook. I would like to try the Oddessy hook. I prefer inline hooks, however I do not care for their Streamline resin hooks. The tip constantly snags my yarn. Thank you for a chance and love the beanie.
I have never tried any Furls hooks. I would like to try the Odessy furls hook. I've listened to reviews. It seems you either like them or you don't. I am on limited budget since I retired and cost prevents me from buying and trying to see if I would like them or not. Have a Blessed Day and thank you for the opportunity.
I like a father handle and a heavier hook I have been wanting to try the odyssey but it has been out of my price range. Thank you for the lovely giveaway. Merry Christmas 🐰🐰
Am a knitter now but what to learn to crochet in the New Year!!! So this would be a good start for me thanks for the generous giveaway and until next time have a wonderful and blessed day and rock yarn 🧶🧶🧶🧶
I would love to try an Odyssey hook. I have several of the Furls acrylic hook but have never even seen the Odyssey hooks in person. The colors are always so pretty and I love an inline hook.
I would like to try out that hook because I don't have an Odyssey in that size yet. 😆 I *love* the Odysseys I have (mostly smaller sized for amigurumi). I don't experience any drag with them at all. I sometimes (not very often) have to switch to a more draggy hook material if I'm using a slippery yarn. I admit I never got into the Clover Amours, but I find the Odyssey way smoother than the Susan Bates metal hooks. Great for working into tight stitching on amigurumi, or cotton bags, or potholders.
I know you said the hook is pretty heavy but I’m willing to see if it may offer me more control when crocheting. I’m used to using the Susan Bates In Line hooks but have never tried a Furls. Thank you for the giveaway!
I’ve used the smaller size odyssey’s but I’m curious about the large hook size. I find that the heft of the hook has eliminated my death grip and my hand is much more relaxed. Speed, or lack thereof doesn’t bother me. Thank you for the chance Mel.
I’ve always wanted to try the Odyssey, but the price point has been a deterrent for me. I do get hand fatigue and this type of hook comes recommended to combat that. I just can not see spending that much on one hook when I have other hooks that work just fine for me, especially if I ended up not liking it. Thanks for the chance to win something like this!
I love the Susan Bates Hooks and keep looking for something similar. I have wanted to try the Furls hooks for awhile and was waiting for your review in them. This would be a great addition to my book collection.
The navy blue is my fav fav color. It is gorgeous color. The hook looks so great. I would like to win this baby. Thank you for the chance. Happy holidays.
I love these hooks, Mel. There great, I’m also a pencil grip and don’t have a problem. I would love to win this hook because I don’t have this color. Thanks for your generosity. Have a Merry Christmas and a great day!!!
I haven’t used an Odyssey yet. My Furls excursion started with their resin hook, which I adore. I have a wooden one coming in the mail. I’d be interested in having the Odyssey so I can have a great feeling aluminum hook? I still have my Susan Bates, but they hurt my hands 😒Thank you for the chance to win 🥰🧶👏🏽
I didn’t know that about the in-line hooks being less splitty. Great to know! Thanks for the opportunity to win a Furls. I’ve been wanting to try one ever since I first saw one. They just look cool and I imagine they are fast( I wasn’t expecting you to say it had drag, that was surprising but good I suppose, something to slow you down). I just can’t afford one right now. And I’m still curious even with the 3.5 star review!!😁 Happy holidays and thanks again.
Never had a fancy dancy hook, too cheap... I mean frugal 🤣 Still using Boye hooks from the 70’s! I did buy a couple comfort grip Boye, not sure about them yet. Won some colorful Boye hooks from the Yarn Hookers which was awesome 😎
I would love to try a furls hook. The color blue is so pretty I like in line hooks I see so many podcasters using these hooks and I would like to see and feel one in person. Thank You for the opportunity to try to win one. Thank You and stay safe
I would be interested in trying the furls odyssey hook because I have large hands and used a knife hold on my hooks. I've been thinking that that would be a really great for me to use because of my hand size and how much I do crochet. The only reason why I have not bought one yet to try is because they are expensive.
I've tried the Odyssey but smaller one's Im5 curious that the handel looks longer than the smaller gages would love to give it a try. Thanks for the lovely giveaway 🤗
I had never heard inline can help with splity yarns but splity yarns don't really bother me as their softness is usually well worth it. I'm an addi swing girl myself which is a tapered but been wanting to try furls. Don't like resin or wood and I can get 2 Addis for the price of one furls odyssey so it's remained just a curiosity!
i took advantage of the b1g1 sale at furls to try them out. havent' used them yet. i learned on tapered so i guess i will find out how i like it very soon. that is beautiful, and i like the larger hooks.
Thank you for the giveaway! I’m a fan of the in-line hooks. I have a 5mm odyssey and would love the chance to add an 8mm. Good luck and Happy Holidays everyone!
Just tried my first Furls hook in a smaller size. Weight of hook was not an issue for me. I would be interested to see if the larger hook weight is an issue. Happy Holidays to you and your family.🎄
Hello Mel, I've seen so many people talk about how much they love the Furls hooks, so I'd like to see for myself. I just can't afford their prices, maybe some day. Happy Holidays to you and your daughter.
I love Furls!!!!!! They help with my tired hands
I’m a Furls girl, for sure! I have a collection of different types and sizes. I don’t have that particular hook in that size.

I own one odyssey hook and really enjoy but mostly cause it is my so favorite color!!!
I love Furls hooks, the weight doesn't bother me. They are gorgeous !!
I like the look of the length and may even like weight. I am always looking to try new stuff.
