Killing a hecate with a heron is bloody well done, and rather impressive. I actually had to save a Corpmate in a pacifier little wile back that was loosing hard to a heron with fairly simular fit to yours. This video is a prime example of how people in cheap t1 frigates can do some scary stuff if they know how to use their ships properly. More expencive and bigger are for sure not allways better when a cheap fitted t1 frig can take out T3 destroyer or 350 mill faction frigate
Nice kill on the Hecate! When things are going well for me like that, its usu ruined by 3-4 of his friends showing up to blap me. Thats how it usu goes.. you think ur 1v1 till his buddies show up. The scram kite Heron is a great fit but you have to avoid missile boats and other kite ships
The nice thing about getting killed 4v1 is it doesn't give them any points on zkill. Every solo kill you get is a huge whack of points, and every gang loss you have is usually just 1 point. Like I bet that Hecate kill was probably 30-40 points or more.
Noticed you have one tracking disruptor and one guidance disruptor during the hecate fight but two tracking disruptors during the sabre fight. Do you swap them out and double-up based the specific target you expect to encounter?
I been playing for 3 months and still an alpha. I got hit by a Heron yesterday on a site in my Imicus...lol. Man it's the perfect bait ship, you are d-scanning and your thinking is, it's another explorer coming in and he is obviously going to compete for the cans so get as many as you can right. Next thing I know I am locked scrammed and done for with 80 mil in the hold and a sisters core probe launcher to boot. I was pissed in the moment and blew off a little steam at him in local, which was uncalled for I admit, but I was so shocked that I got baited by a Heron...lol. I have not been caught by anything else out there yet. Hey I had to give it to the pilot, that was the perfect ambush with the most unexpected ship to boot. My thinking is I gotta build me one and go get some of the loot back I lost...lol. Ingenious thinking, well done my man. I bet that Hecate pilot was AFK for a bit trying to fathom just what happened :)
You are returning player not just started to play, This is a specialised fit, no one month old new player would keep his nerves in check as 2km difference in range controll means life and death.
Yeah, I also call BS. Even with proper 1 on 1 from veteran pvper he wouldn't have mastered all these mechanics in such a short time... He also "doesn't know how to edit videos" xD
@@alinn.4341 Yeah man. A month old character still have goo instead of brain from information meltdown with game mechanics, and here you have someone who kills web Hecate in cold blood with ewar heron. Not saying it's impossible but chances of that would be as high as flipping a coin 10x and each time landing on a side. The knowledge of what you can engage and what you cannot would eliminate him completely from being a new player alone.
@@merimac_1318 He would just get on everyday and feed herons or other ships for like an hour after a month of that you can get pretty good. and in the video you can see he just approaches gets web and scram then keeps at range with the button. The kills are impressive don't get me wrong. But its not like he's manually piloting around a huge blob.
Getting back into the game after a long break. I miss PVP. This looks like an affordable way to get into trouble by having people underestimate you. Building a stack of 20 of these.
Incredible kills! I assume though that this only works on MWD Blaster/AutoCannon fits? Anything else and you are pretty much insta scrap metal. Have you tried the same but with missile range disruption to go up against rocket brawlers?
Hello! Thanks for the video) But tell me: they did almost no damage to you, and you didn't even have a shield pump. If I'm not mistaken, you didn't circle them. So how did you manage to avoid damage? Thank you again!
To avoid damage, they used the following advantages: (1) Speed, they used an afterburner to keep away. (2) Slowing, they used a webbifier to slow their target. (3) Scrambling, their warp scrambler will shut off any micro warp drives. (4) Weapon ewar, they used tracking and guidance disrupters to reduce target ship weapon range. (5) Long range guns, their ships guns can out range the enemy at 9km. If you note here 3:29 , his drones take damage, that’s because they are in the Hecate’s gun range, that would be him too if he was in gun range. This tactic is known as ‘scram kiting’. Using modules to hold your foe at arms length while dishing out more damage than regular kiting, but just like kiting, if you get caught, you die instantly, kiting(and scram kiting) tactics are extremely effective against brawl tactics(as shown by all enemies except the raven).
Domt be scared of the raven, unlike turret ships the missiles of big ships wont damage you big time no matter what, just ab orbit him in a frig and get tickled by theyr torps/cruisers 😂
that hecate kill was insane
Why was it not shooting back?
Ill argue that the hecate pilot was just badly fited, no dual web???? No saar??? Dude was asking to be scram kited to death wtf was his 4th mid?
Hecate just was noooooob😂
Self-proclaimed newbro scram-kiting a Hecate with a Heron is not something I had on my bingo card! What a cool killmail.
same
I love when sabres bubble their own pod
so embarrassed for that Hecate. That was insane.
Always loved the battle heron. Been experimenting with it from 2014 on
Great vid...love the fact your psych warfare works so beautifully. "It is just a Heron." Well done and subscribed-keep up the good work.
that hecate kill was a pure beauty! awesome! cudos for taking it on and mastering it that impressively!
Very cool video. Love the commentary in the bottom left and the music choice.
I've been running a heron combat fit for T0 abyss with massive success. Totally underrated.......
the hecate kill was absolutely nuts....keep up
I would have not expected you to kill a Hecate in a Heron... unreal!
That was great, I've been having a lot of fun in a Heron this weekend, came looking for more inspiration :D you should post this to the r/eve reddit!
We will follow your career with great interest....
I think I have fallen in love
Amaizing. You showed that there is still justice in this uneven game XD ...
Amazing. You're right, the Heron is a very unsuspecting chassis
It's always gonna be the brawly probe for me, but this thing is slick.

Unreal!
Do more video like this. Solo hunting, ganking, gatecamps
Fun to watch
The heron is and will always be one of my favorite ships
ohohoh amazing ! thanks for sharing this !

If youve come this far in a few month, fair play sir!
Keep making videos man that was awesome
Respect man
Marvelous!
Battle heron is always a favorite of mine. Month old getting into pvp grats on that. You should check out more chieves videos. They are pretty funny.
Impresive job!
Nice job on the Hecate.
wow that was pretty amazing and funny. Maybe should try that in fw aha as well

Doubt it he's a 1 month player and already knows Bait mechanics, every type of weapons, range control and Trig space mechanics... I call bullshit ^^

you did great and nice vid
cool stuff

how much isk would this fit cost?
About five mill ish I’d guess
Good fights!!!

Bruh the Hecate 💀
Mh yes hecate for breakfast
I use to bait people with a dual rep navitas. Was so funny watching them moan in local afterwards
It would have been so awesome if you got blobbed. Imagine getting carrier dropped for a Heron 😂 great fights
You weren’t a one month in player when you filmed this but excellent vid nonetheless
All nice, but you are not a newbro playing only one month. (Maybe with this character)
gg man me too i like heron for figting jaja so good
I'm form echoes but, oh I hope a heron same like yours 🤣with drones and all

one got killed by a heron in my kestrel, completely by surprise. nice!
Nice music choice 👍
Nice kills..
Not nice lying about playing for one month only. 👎 A new player within one month won't have the knowledge..
Not going to Lie your allowed to be priud of the Hacate kill, bet the pilot was crying all the way to high sec and started the tutorial again

i bet you coulda solod that raven too LOL
Raven should have enough Regen to keep full hp til downtime if nothing else.
Reven could just drop 5 drones on him and he would pop/have to escape.
way to meme people
lmao n1
Yes sure and no one help they in NS sure dude
