I ended up getting the nonnef kit. and the paddles kit on top of that. they also had a fix for the loose legs. there feet tucks up in so you don't get the toes in the bottom. but i kind of like how go better's fold out to cover that gap too. Thanks for this so i can compare the options. both are definitely a needed improvement. honestly these third party parts companies are clever beyond reason.
Man... I wish that the DNA Designs upgrades kits for Transformers 86 sludge the upgrade foot kits and the 3D printer foot version like this in the future updates man.

Not a great upgrade kit, as the gold robot feet STILL don't truck up inside the negative space in the dino mode. I've seen some other kits online that do a far better and less fiddly job of fixing this issue. Another easy pass for this kit.
Why? The storage underneath was terrible. It should mount on his leg like the originals anyway. Filling in that massive, terribly designed cavern underneath is far from useless
@@KatosKollection The belly storage wasn't terrible, it was convenient. It meant Sludge could carry his weapon in dino mode without affecting his profile. If the kit omits this feature, then it's useless. And the original figure never mounted the gun on its leg. What are you talking about?
You're right. It didn't mount on his leg. I just mean that typically weapon storage on g1 toys were just pegged on the outside if they had storage. As for this kit and the godawful hole in the bottom, it's more than worth the afterthought of weapon storage that this has.
Regardless, if you don't like the kit, simply don't buy it. Find one that keeps the feet extended so the weapon can store. No matter how horrible it looks
@@KatosKollection That's the problem: There is no kit that allows for weapon storage. It baffles me that fans put so little stock into an essential feature when it makes sense in context. If you were an Autobot, would you transform and roll out if it meant ditching your weapon back at base because you had no way to carry it? A good figure will always be judged by how well it stores its weapon, and this kit doesn't care at all. ¬_¬

If you say so. Personally, having the retractable feet is pretty genius. So, yeah.... "great" to me. Nothing "fiddly" about it.
You missed one major step: the GUN! Is it it still possible to store Sludge's gun underneath the dino? If not, this upgrade kit is useless.
