If the school has 6 classes each year and a semester system resulting in a total of 24 units, how does the 2021 intake at some UCs shows an average GPA of admitted students to be 4.40? Since even if some studenr got straight As it comes to 24*4 + 8/ 24 = 4.33 capped UC GPA ( assuming they took equal to of more than 8 honors/ APs). Please I would be grateful if this question is addressed.
Hello Madhuri, in admission selection the UC campus has the ability to use a weighted and capped GPA. They also have the ability to look at a weighted and uncapped GPA. We'll share that UCSB only uses the weighted and capped GPA. You can email us for more details at ucsb4me@sa.ucsb.edu.
The UC policy is that your transcript and your UC application should match. If your school marks it as honors, you should add UC honors to the application.

As an OOS student, if my school/district counted my classes as honors, would I label them as “not honors” or “UC approved honors?”
