Your street drifting shredding session you had at the outro of the video is Exactly what I'm trying to achieve with also being able to mash out at like 70 basically I'm not trying to overheat the electronics what's a safe 8s gearing option?

What I can say about gearing to keep the engine cool is to make sure you have a temp gun and gear up slowly and gradually , checking the temp throughout your sessions. You will figure out which gearing gives you a balance of high top speed and bashing torque without overheating. Experimenting with new gearing options and Figuring this out is part of the fun. Also make sure you have good fans on your motor. Good luck.

@@eddieepicmedia hey so I finally bit the bullet and got my hands on my own 4WD electric sportsline. I’m stuffing the MAX4 combo in it (including the huge 70mm diameter motor)
I also got the WFO motor mount and plan on buying some saga gears, I just need to find someone to machine the layshaft.
Would you mind sharing where you got your graphite sheets from that you mounted on the body side posts? I want to compare that material to some black acrylic I’ve used in the past and I’ll probably mount my batteries on them.

Take pride in that thing. It's beautiful, Well done. Pretty much a one-off in my opinion. I'm into eight scale Nitro racing off-road but I love on road F1 and that style racing You. I think you did it pretty good of justice. I would love to do me one like that at myself. I'm not familiar with that brand that does those one fifth scales but ima gonna check into those. @@eddieepicmedia I have a limitless & a Vendetta. I just set the Vendetta up for 6S pulls. I feel like that will be the one to get 100 mph first. Limitless is also 6S set up. On 25/37 gear set with half dead batterie's I set my PB of 82

O and il take a set of those extended carbon fiber chassis peices if you would to sale some of those to what mount did u use on your felony for the ztw system to fit in it because that's a good idea I bet it's way torquer with that setup
The ZTW ended up malfunctioning , so I sent it to ZTW for repair. I never got a chance to use it. Waiting for It's return now. I am currently using an XLX2 in the Felony. I do not mind giving advice and links to the materials and tools I used to make the parts but I have no interest in making and selling the parts. I appreciate your enthusiasm. I know how it is.

Did u have any fitment problems with ur r8 body .. the back of mine like wrinkles in with the 2 back side post attached
Yes I had the same issue to a slight degree. It seems like the body holes were not placed correctly
Are you having any issue with the max 4 running that 800kv motor? See the max 4 is up to 600kv I’m bout to buy a fg and trying to figure my setup. I was going for a max 4 but some people telling me might not work with high kv motor
No issues at all with Max4 and 800kv

Hey bro I ordered mine yesterday I got the bmw m4 I also got the max 4 with the 560kv motor any suggestions on gearing for 12 s I'm only trying to dial up 70 mph for showing off could of went smaller but I want access to 12s lol any help would be awesome
Congratulations Eli. With the stock gearing and a 800kv motor , I got 65mph. You should'nt be too far off. You will definitely have to gear up to get to 70mph if you are using a 560kv motor but it should be easy to get there.

Hey when u put the ztw system in your felony what motor mount will u use
I will first try to find a place it may sit on the chassis once I remove the ESC. If I find a place I will simply use "dual lock" which is a stronger version of velcro. Many people in this hobby use "dual lock". Dual lock is how my HobbyWing Max4 is stuck to the mount I made in my Sportsline. If I can't find a place it will sit flat on the chassis I will have to come up with a mount.

Also watch the video below. It shows a guy swap the motor to the other side of the car which you will also have to do. He also shows how to make room for the xlx2 which is alike in size to the ztw.

Gearing: 34Pinion / 39Spool . 2 x 6s 5000mah 100c spektrum batteries , but next time I'm trying Gens Ace.

@@calvinmcgee4681 I no it got kind of confusing when I start talking about the pinion and spur but, it is 27t pinion and 44t spur. I have a 37t pinion and a 38t spur that I will slowly work up to. And no , it doesn't get hot. Even without the fan my temp is 114 degrees tops. Which means I have plenty of room to gear up.

Also until I put it on 12s I'm gonna get that mount and change the pinion on the fg what would u change it to either higher or lower pinion tooth size to get it off the line quicker
off the line quicker would mean smaller pinion. Smaller pinion equals more torque but less top end.

Ok I copied your esc mount setup bought the extra battery holders question what did you use for pins? Any would help I have the ztw esc
I went to Ace hardware and bought some copper Or metal wire you can buy by the length. It’s actually thicker than wire and more like the thickness of a metal dowel or pin. You should be able to find this at Ace Hardware.

@@elisrcwrld6591 get some sort of super glue to glue the battery sections on top of each other
use the holes on the top of the upper most battery braces to put screws to hold your esc plate down
@@eddieepicmedia ok I get it run wire through the first parts then screw my esc base to the corners on the top part reinforced with super glue between the these pieces almost like your stacking bricks.

Have you seen the GRP F1 tires? They're a little larger than the regular GRP 5th scale. They would fill the wheel wells nice and the rears are wider than the fronts like a real F1 car similar to the body you got on yours. I got a set foamed up at Gone Bananas. He's a cool dude but you gotta be patient with him cause I think he works alone. He's getting popular so he gets backed up with orders sometimes but its worth it. I got a set of regular GRP 5th scale done by him too and they hold up well. He recommended a harder foam for those due to the size and he was right...you get a lot more contact patch. I can send you some pics if you wanna see them and compare for yourself.
Yes 9G send the pics. I had reached out to "Gone Bananas" and I understand that I have to send him my worn out GRP wheels and he'll hook me up. I'm just waiting until I wear this pair down so I can send them. Did not know about the F1 wheels. I will look into it. Sounds like a winner.

Do foam tires have better grip then rubber
I believe rubber tires grip better but I prefer Foam for speed runs because foam is much much lighter in weight. On one of my runs I got 5 more mph when I switched from rubber to foam.
Do not forget to check the defects of the rear differential it is the disease on FG

How does the sensor with the max 4 work with the castle motor
You don't get the full function of it unless you use the ezrun motor that hobbywing pairs it with. I am speaking of the Ezrun 70125 Brushless Motor. This motor is only 560 kv . Too low for my purpose. So unless you use the ezrun motor you don't get the full benefit like motor temp reading.The Max4 ESC does have an auto cutoff feature if it gets too hot which is comforting.

Hi Dalton. Thanks for engaging and watching. I can say that with the stock gearing it was at 65mph. I went up from 22 pinion to 27 pinion in this video which got me from 65mph to 88mph which is 23 more mph. This was why I was pleased. I would add that once I changed the spur which was originally 44T down to 38T , which is the current gearing , I now get 102mph. I understand your surprise being that it's 12s. I can only say that it probably has to do with the weight of the car and the low kv motor. (800KV). I will post a future video with it's faster speed. Thank you again Dalton.
