i got another very good tip, if you are completing a task and a hunter is near try to stop completing the task at the end so the notification doesnt pop up for them and they will think ur a civillian since civillians dont give u notifications

Here are a few tips that I learned from playing:
1. If a npc is doing a task for a long time, then it’s most likely a hider as the npcs usually don’t stay on tasks for very long
2. This is kinda a tip, but on the beach map if an npc is doing the task on the dock, there is a pretty good chance it’s a hider.
3. Look for people walking funny/ not smooth or in a straight line
4. If a hunter is near by or next to you while doing a task, it is best to just not finish the task and walk away like an npc
I played dingus before and sometimes a civilian will walk strangely. So the 3rd tip may work most of the time but not everytime.

heres some tips i learned:
1. if a npc goes walking right after they do a task its a player.
2. if a npc isnt running into any walls its a player (not all the time)
3. sometimes, if u see an npc walking smooth af but suddenly runs into a wall, its a player acting like an npc
@@Charlie04899 very good but, the second tip isn't true. Npcs have a good chance of walking into stuff like at the beach map where the red street task is, the stands around the pole, also that creates a good "hiding spot" bc when you do the red task, then you walk into the little pile of npcs.

another tip is npcs always walk in a straight line when going through the isles in the shop if a npc doesnt walk in a straight line in the isle it is most likely a player

Here's a tip: when you're an hider, just copy the npc's moves but sprint when there's no hunters becuase you can get a notification when doing a task or randomly hug the walls and then a few seconds move a straigh line hope it helped
Tip 6: As a hider, go use zebra crossing. If you see someone not passing with zebra crossing, it’s a hider,

There are 3 red tasks on classic map and 4 red tasks in wild west map.
He meant 2 red tasks in the game
List of tasks to NOT do with hunters nearby:
Difficulty levels: ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Wild West:
Outcrop - Unnamed ⚠️⚠️
Sheriff - Open cell ⚠️
Bank - Break into the bank ⚠️⚠️⚠️
Tunnel - Steal gems ⚠️
Classic:
Garden - Hack billboard ⚠️⚠️
Street - Destroy street light ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Store - Break the vending machine ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Tip: As soon as you finish a red task, sprint to the nearest place to hide or start a new white task. This is because you do not need to pretend you are an NPC after doing a red task, because you are clearly a hider. If near, enter quickly the map hideout to be safe from any hunters.
Fact: NPCs don't enter hideouts, only players do.

On the beach map theres actually 3 red task you can do also im pretty sure they can wait more than 2 seconds after a task@@Highblaster
IMPORTANT: NPCs now stop 7-12 seconds after doing a task. Not 1-2 seconds.

A tip is that the npcs have some movement code. That means if you learn it you might become a pro in hinding

@Highblaster not the most kindest way to deal a situation with proper manners but I can still see it as an option. just won't use to usually to harm somebody due to empathy to generic people. either way it doesn't really benefit both sides so I'm not sure about that

What is the difference between non essential white tasks than essential white tasks?
Essential task are the ones players need to complete the non ones are the players don't need to complete
Here’s a tip: npcs are coded to walk not running and walking in a straight line
Tip: do more non essential white tasks than essential white tasks
hunters get a notification pop up after 16 seconds when hiders do non essential white tasks
16 seconds is a lot if hiders can sprint so hiders can get away
tip: never do unnessessary tasks they slow you down give nothing in return and can get you screwed up
I was hunter once and i saw someone do a red task then i shot the person and turns out its a NPC

I love Dingus, but my problem is the people I play with are so stupid they don’t know civilians also do white tasks. They just shoot willy nilly! It’s annoying when you’re trying to hide, so you do a useless task knowing the notification won’t pop up at the top, and then a hunter just shoots you because you’re doing a task! It’s not even red!
often movement can give you away also unnessesary tasks give notifications and only already done ones dont
