At the 3 minute mark, Jack rips a 3rd shot drive. The block is in front of Jack, who could have easily run up and gotten it. Easily. But Catherine steps in front of him and pointedly does an overly careful two handed backhand reset into the kitchen. Because she knew Jack likely would have run up and tried to destroy that ball, and hit it into the net or out. She seemed to be sending a clear message. We reset this ball, and develop the point.
Actually, I thought they were setting up for a "shake and bake" with Jack driving the ball down the line with Parenteau getting into attack position near the kitchen. The expectation would be that Parentau would handle the next shot after the drive if it's short. But, Pisnak's block was non-attackable so Parentau just did a reset rather than trying to crush it. I saw the exact same pattern recently with Ben Johns and ALW. ALW also just did a reset although Ben Johns could have run up to the ball.
Lol, jack is still improving. But heres the thing, he’s way way more fun to watch than a Ben. Ben is much more consistent and a better player, but watching him is like watching paint dry. Hope Jack can reduce the number of errors.
Pro pickleball is such a joke. Even people that love playing can't watch an entire match before changing channels. PPA for whatever reason thinks it 1980s with amateur video quality.
29:50 can we please stop applauding "good dinking" as if Jack did something that caused Dekel to miss. These are professionals. Missing a dink directly in front of you, with minimal pace, is an unforced error. It's like a tennis player missing a forehand ground stroke in the middle hash of the baseline.
Catherine needs to change partner ASAP! Too much hype for Sock. He's good for the show!
Absolument d'accord avec vous

Catherine needs to find another partner. She is too good to be seeded 12 on mixed doubles.
