Howsit, ya that vessel has a Krausen Collar, so it can move upwards and gas can escape without letting oxygen in. I do use an airlock with my other fermenters.
That's great! I did a golden ale on the weekend that's also looking good. I've got better results using carbonation sugar boiled in water to make a syrup added directly to the fermenter before bottling than with the carbonation drops/pills you get, however that was in 500ml bottles. This weekend I'm bottling into 330ml bottles, so may give the drops a try again. Hopefully they will do better in a smaller bottle. Carbonation sugar directly into the bottle works too if you can accurately measure it, but my preferance is a sugar syrup in the fermenter.
