Former Syracuse basketball player Matt Roe joins the Inside Syracuse Basketball podcast to talk about why he transferred from Syracuse, how he almost didn’t transfer after visiting four other schools and why years later he decided to return to his hometown. He also talked about John Thompson yelled at him after he had made four 3-pointers and going to see the original Batman movie with the late Hank Gathers.

This was one of the best interviews I’ve seen in a while!!! Matt Roe is a Syracuse legend... The Hank Gathers/Batman recruiting trip was so cool... I remember the game when Coach Thompson got booted from the sidelines at the Carrier dome... I’m not sure if that was on March 4th of 1990 (it was so long ago) but that was also the day that Hank Gathers happened to pass away...
