Stopping at a few spots in Rhode Island in two weeks on the water to Cape cod for two weeks. Will be just about the six year anniversary of this vid. All your vids keep us stoked ! Tight lines buddy ! 😎👍🏻🤙🏼🐟🎣
Think this video is slightly underrated mostly for the technique, and how you described the retrieve for this lure (jerk-jerk-pause, crank-pause). Cannot tell you how much success I have had throwing bombers and SPs using that type of retrieve. Keep up the good work, and thanks again!
My pops and I were down there in the exact same spot as you as the other day. Some guy was killing schoolies on a superfluke. We were using spoons and swimbaits to no avail. I'll have to head back out! Still have yet to catch a linesider this year thanks for the video
sounds good well now you have another lure to through and maybe have some luck. I opted to fish with my larger surf rod in this video to cast further out so try and chose and setup that you can cover the greatest amount of water. Tight Lines!
Thanks brother for the support. Gad to hear you like the video's. Im in Montauk right now for the rest of the season any requests what you would want to see me catch next?
Great video! In the sequence of "crank, pause, jerk, jerk, pause" by crank, do you mean that you are reeling it in on the crank action and not on the jerk , action? Thanks for help!
Andrew Reichel I look for parks, bridges, public access, then I push the envelope and look to see if I can fish the surrounding area around a park with a little extra effort maybe by walking in the water or climbing over fences. Public parking. Then I finally pick apart structure in the area and look for areas close to deep water. Usually darker areas on the map will be deeper and shallower spots will be lighter.
Target all the bridges in Providence good key locations and there are many local parks along the providence river from the Hurricane barrier at collier park to Conimicut pt that have easy fishing excess and will put you on some fish. I cant reveal the location because it is an out of the way spot that many anglers would dislike if i openly shared therefore it can be easily found on google maps thats how i found it and actually thats how i find most of my fishing locations google maps. So Google it up. Tight lines.
I like to have at least black, white, or yellow in at least one lure that I expect to use but the natural color im sure would still work like this bunker colored SP minnow I was using in this video.
before and into sunrise and dusk into early evening, but that is not a rule that is set in stone. you just need to go out there and find out the patterns for yourself. nobody on the internet in a comment's section will be able to tell you everything you need to know to catch fish. if you go out every day for a few months you will find out everything you need to know.
+FishAholic Fishing I notice that you sometimes fish in Rhode Island. I fish the surf all the time in Rhode Island and enjoy your videos. Awesome to fish together sometime
yes i do! the Facebook page is good to follow because it is updated every time i literally catch a fish and post it on my Instagram. Facebook, facebook.com/fishaholicfishing/ Instagram, instagram.com/fishaholicfishing

Coreytime before casting give it a jiggle to put the lead in the back of the plug. Look up fish with ish tips to casting sp minnow.
Hey, that setup have there, have you tried fishing for surf perch with it. If so, how's the bite feel on the rod? I was thinking about picking one up.
Great video! In the sequence of "crank, pause, jerk, jerk, pause" by crank, do you mean that you are reeling it in on the crank action and not on the jerk , action? Thanks for help!
Yes reel on crank. Then pause. Jerk jerk is just yanking. Then pause. Then reel on crank. Then pause

When looking for fish spots on Maps what do you generally looking for in fishing spots?
Andrew Reichel I look for parks, bridges, public access, then I push the envelope and look to see if I can fish the surrounding area around a park with a little extra effort maybe by walking in the water or climbing over fences. Public parking. Then I finally pick apart structure in the area and look for areas close to deep water. Usually darker areas on the map will be deeper and shallower spots will be lighter.
What brand sunglasses do you wear?
Man I am getting the fever.. I need to get out there.
haha yeah nows the time
When you crank how many full rotations of the reel are you pulling? Just one?
Turns if handle don't matter. You have to take gear ratio into consideration. Experiment with fast, medium or slow retrieve.
Tight lines !!!!👍🏻😎🤙🏼
Nice catch
Isn't that area chained off?
hey you ever fish in boston harbor and do you think the sp minnow would be affective in a river
