Fabulous classic! Queen just makes everything better! This song is from their third album, Sheer Heart attack and was what catapulted them into the public eye. The song is about a high class call girl (aka courtesan). The show this video was for "top of the pops" was for all up and coming artists and unfortunately, it was required for the band to mime/lip sync to a playback track. Even the drum symbols were fake. The experience must have been pure torture for them to have to mime and also a major insult to their artistic talent and professional integrity. Also, they actually never played the entire song through when they sang it live, it was always part of a medley. I highly recommend "March of the Black Queen", its considered as an older sibling to Bohemian Rhapsody.

You should check out the lyric for the song as well, it is quite clever. This is actually a very complex song musically as well, it has a lot of key changes. The song has a very strong melody and 29 different cords!
