Awesome fix man! the HT23 is alive again and it realy does help the engine when the fins are clean. I'd suggest you take a couple mins to clean them out before summer time. Either than that you have yourself and really good setup for winter time. Cheers
I know i got busy getting the shop Built this fall to check her over LOL!
When i first got the HT23 in the summer , I Washed the engine very well. And "thought":
I got most of it out.. But at the same time did not take the 2min to remove the tins .
I think most of the dirt got into her cutting grass at my house with the carb leaking a little.
Thing sounds good under load. That luxury power steering life. Should have been sipping a glass of wine. Haha good times.
Normally a dirty cigar is my choice when using her !
runs way better now forsure good job
Hope She Keeps going for a few years LOL!
Your young and tuff to work in that cold weather and cold shop. It’s 58 and very high winds and I stayed in doors today at 72
Great fix! Sure was a lot of shit that collected over time in the fins. It should be a good runner now!
I just hope that was not all from just one Summer of using her LOL!
MY yard has PURE Sand , So good chance a lot of that got stuck in the engine from the carb leaking a SMALL amount of fuel LOL!
awsome video curtis man you seem to have bad luck with these tracters lol but i do got to say not as bad as last year this is the only non mayjoy issue that i seen and runs super fanstatic after you fix it love it thumbs up and shared

Take the heads off...mill them down with a belt sander...itll up the compression and you'll notice a difference...just don't remove too much...a good 40 to 50 thousands...those opposing Twin are a good solid engine too...have had one since new and I run 5w40 rotella in it since...works great...u take care of them and they'll take care of you...keep the engines clean is a major thing with them.
I heard you on the fuel. I bought 50 gals of diesel, and 20 gals of gas, $641 .
At least now it's starting to get a little cheaper LOL!
I miss using the diesel for snow , $1.00 (1/4 Gal) would Do the FULL YARD
That trailer house looks cold up there
Need a metal roof over it ???
Wood Stove inside , So she is nice and Warm , Maybe too Warm at times LOL!
