  • This Bible study devotional covers Psalm 79. In this passage, as the songwriter Asaph sees blood pooling in the streets of Jerusalem, he begs God for mercy.
As always, we are committed to showing you how to see the good news of the Gospel in every passage of Scripture. In Psalm 79, we see that Jesus’ death is proof that there will be a final day of vengeance against all those who harm, hurt, and oppress God’s people.

Another great video, I just love how you shed the light on how the old and new Testaments mirror themselves with Jesus. Jesus nailed ALL our sins to the cross that day so long ago, and I know, on the day when I stand before God and have to have judgment for all my sins, Jesus will cover them for me.❤ Jesus is the ONLY way. I pray for peoples eyes to be OPENED!

THANKYOU GOD THE👑🤍🕊️💞 FATHER IN JESUS NAME FOR THESE WORDS OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ABOUT HOW SIN CAN RUIN MANY AND SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD? DOES THE INNOCENT HAVE TO BE SACRIFICED FOR THE ONES WHO ARE DOING THE WRONG? I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT PART. A LOT OF BLOOD OVER THE YEARS HAS BEEN SHEDDED EVEN BEFORE WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR AND KING!!! WHEN LORD JESUS IS A DAY OF RECKONING? THIS IS A PROBLEM RIGHT IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES. THIS I ASK ALL IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN 🙏🏼 I PRAY THEE THAT THIS TOO SHALL PASS ALL OVER THE WORLD 🌍

I thought that Asaph was a contemporary of David. There was no temple during time of David. Please explain?

Thanks for your question, Steve! Asaph was a contemporary of both David and Solomon. We see that Asaph’s sons are set apart by David as singers in 1 Chronicles 25:1 and then we see that Asaph is among them when Solomon brings the ark into the completed temple in 2 Chronicles 5:12.
