I need to see what they look like so I could confirm if they work or not. You are pretty much going with the monochromatic look. In order to pull it off properly, sometimes you need to play with texture and different shades of that color choice.

If it's a knitwear polo like this in the video, then you simply just fold it under and adjust it according to your like. I normally call this tuck as "fake tuck" . This only works for polo shirts that have cuff hem
