But this is also a group who's hip hop and r&b influenced, I dont think them do much EDM. I love it and the members, although I wouldn't put it as the best debut song, I do like the song
The thing with this group is: They are not K-pop, they are not from YG, they are a Hip-Hop R&B group. Actually this Hip-Hop R&B group thing are from their website. So I dont expect the loud songs in kpop at all. I think 4 of the 3 members was models before debut.
Something that was extremely refreshing about this is it didn’t actually sound like K-pop/j-pop/C-pop etc artist trying to make a English song! something that people don’t want admit is a lot of the time I don’t care who it is English music that’s made by Idol you hear it and it never sounds like anything a Western artist would do! it’s so clear that it’s a foreign artist making English music and I unfortunately thats sometimes why it doesn’t stick long with the GP outside of being a trend! so I actually like the fact that this is a song that if I heard it I wouldn’t just automatically assume I would just think maybe if somebody I’ve never heard of so they did a good job with blending the sounds!
Agree to disagree - I loved the minimalist aesthetic; the slow, wide shots; and the crisp, clean production. When this dropped I had no idea who they were or that is was coming; now, I'm intrigued. This was interesting. The writing was tight, the delivery and execution were on point, as were the attitude and attention to detail. I got to see group choreo, hear vocals and harmonies, and get a sense of their style. XG is a group that was created through systematic hard work through global projects for over 5 years. The group consists of Japanese members who practiced in Korea with the K-pop system and set global goals with English songs. XG Executive Producer Jakops (Junho Park) debuted as a singer in Korea and has been engaged in Kpop as a producer and composer for over 13 years. Also, I noticed that the blonde girl did not have any singing or rapping parts in this at all? Something really feels off about this debut.

Co-sign. It’s a weird first drop for so much hype building up to this. I’m sure they’ll drop some bangers soon since the girls are clearly all so skilled, but I think this was a misstep from their team. First impressions are important, bad time to choose to hold back.

YG officially announced.
XG is all Japanese members here - ~ these Japanese girls are hot and stunning~ gorgeous - this is J-POP -
Feels like a soft release and or a bside. I dunno. I like it more than i hate it. Catchy. if it was their debut its not a strong one. id listen to it but wouldnt dl it. if that makes any sense. Lol talent is not a question with this group for sure. maybe its because they look so young its throwing me off. O.o ill listen to it more.
This group isn't related to YG. YG release a statement regarding it saying they're not on any relation with this group.
WOW finally some honest reaction:)) Song for me is ok.....but it's good some reactor saying that:)
I'm glad they didn't do the mostest gives us a chance to get to focus on the girls however let's see what comes next
Si el beat fuera lo importante en un grupo, mejor hagan música de DJ y denle un premio al compositor.
YG announced that they are not concerned about XG🤔
🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
for me it was epic. The problem is that maybe they didn't have much budget and I don't know
XG is a group trained by YG ent. Their origin is Avax Ent. a famous Japanese .
They aren't from YG Entertainment.
You're right it was a little underwhelming.. but I'm excited to see the next song ... Lezzzgggooo 🔥🤟
The Girl Crush concept is only weird if you make it weird imo and also I gotta disagree about the beat big time 😅 the beat adds to the vibe
agreed, on both counts 😆
well.... how i know, youngest is minimum 17 almost 18
I know that you say the beat is boring but it’s typical YG style music. It’s giving very Blackpink Wistle am I right or? It’s easy to listen to and super catchy
Co-sign. It’s a weird first drop for so much hype building up to this. I’m sure they’ll drop some bangers soon since the girls are clearly all so skilled, but I think this was a misstep from their team. First impressions are important, bad time to choose to hold back.
Like nothing pops… there’s nothing…, ok the mJ lean and yeah Harvey…
i like it but i think it would've fit better as a b-side
Im confused still. Is this a Kpop group or ? I like the song but i waa suprised its all in english especially as a debut.
J-Pop group. But they have aspirations to have a global reach, when it comes to audience appeal.
@@mimiandy1683 ohh ok thank you for the info 🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@mimiandy1683 Eh...I know they're Japanese, but they don't sing in Japanese, nor sound like any other J-pop group. They are just a Pop/Hip-hop/Rnb group to me...but yes, they trying to go global and it's a great debut.
I get what you say, when I listen the first time I was not into it, but then I watch it again and watching reactions and now is in my head every single day 😆 😆 😆 😆
The only thing I noticed, one of the girls, I think Hinata, didn't sing -.-'
I’m with ya
Like it’s good
Rap is good
They good vocal is good visual is good.
They could have put something in this. Couldn’t agree more. That’s what makes Japanese production kinda weak.
Personally disagree with you but each to their own, that’s what makes opinions so important. The world would be boring without them.
imo the instrumental.. kinda.. u know
The rapping is what is good as well as choreo other than that I’m not in it. The rapping tbh was it
I wish they were an SM group because their raps and visuals would have had a fire beat with fire choreo.
You must have been watching something else. I have watched a ton of these reactions every person has said the beat sticks with you and the dancing is sick. Sorry it ain't Cardi B..
I still stand on what I said.. I’m me, not everyone else
@@DezzyMarch you are 100% right my friend, we are all entitled.
Oh this *IS* an introduction alright. Beat is boring, vocals were mid, video is nothing special, choreo was slow and yet it still gives a vibe? The whole team not putting out all of their tricks with this release is the true definition of the SONG. "Imma keep you (all) on tippy toes".
No.
Yeah, it pretty much sucked. Some pretty faces and interesting voices, but this song and video were boring. Hopefully the next one is better.
The song is underwhelming. It's mid af.
That's why they are flopping lmao
🌎Fun Facts: XG is almost K-POP band. Korean dancer(Hyojin Choi) made XG’s choreography, Korean producer(Jacops) made XG’s song & music. And XG is trained in Korea for 5 years by K-POP training system. But all the members are Japanese.
日本人グループなんだから殆どK-popとか言わないで欲しい
韓国人じゃなきゃ駄目なわけ?

On April 22nd, 2022, producer Simon said on his Instagram live "I've the XG project was based in Japan for most of the 4years."↓
↑The MV producer and choreographer are Korean and were shot in South Korea. The first video was uploaded in February 2022. Given that, they may have been in South Korea for preparation in 2021.
From such a thing, I think Simon's four years mean the four years from 2017 to 2021.
