Swallows have wonderful colours, like many birds until you see them close up you don't realise. You are lucky to have them nesting with you, so many farm buildings and outbuildings are either converted or closed off these days.👍
Even these swallows have had to adapt as the stables have been replaced over the last couple of years. Hopefully they will always find a home there as they have been visiting for years.
@@mumza1 Have you tried putting a little piece of shelf up to encourage them, only needs to be about 4 inches wide, anything that can be used to anchor a nest.

IN MY VIEW
I feel sorry for the one on the far right. He gets crushed when the rest of his siblings move. This little one seemingly accepts it.
I thought the same but it seemed happy enough and fledged with the others.
