Ernie Johnson is one of the best casters of all time. He never played pro basketball, but his father was a pro baseball player, and Ernie played baseball in college. He started broadcasting in the late 70's, and has been doing this basketball show since 1990.
He can do humor, keep the shows pace right, and no one can address the nation about a tragedy like he can.
He is an amazing person too. A cancer survivor who has taken care of his bed ridden adopted son with muscular dystrophy until he passed away at 33yo. I don't think there is a person on the planet with a bad word to say about EJ.
EJ is absolutely amazing. that being said he's old and his tolerance for the shenanigans of his cohorts has started wearing on him lately i've noticed..
@@clipsedrag13 I agree, and noticed that too. He may just have more pressure on him from Turner now tho with today's strange PC climate to keep from letting things go too far, at least that's what I would like to think haha.
Either way it's def sad these are the latter years. I started watching this show with my dad when I was a kid in 1990 when it began, and now I watch with my son. It will be a sad day when it finally comes to an end as I don't think it can ever be replicated.
Ernie is really a legend, well respected among everybody
well said.
I had the pleasure of meeting him when Inside The NBA was at CES in Las Vegas January 2017. He was extremely friendly. Such a great guy.
Even though Ernie Johnson didn’t play basketball, he has and athletic background. He played college baseball and his dad was in the pros.
Plus he was in a dunk contest
@@crankfastle8138 ELAVATOR ERNIE
I know you guys laugh at Barkley a lot but he truly was one of the greatest NBA players ever.
yes i wish they truly understood that
Actually Ernie never played basketball at the NBA level. He's been a commentator for TNT for well over 20 years now
closer to 35 years now. dude’s an absolute legend
Almost 20 years twice actually.
He can probably out shoot chuck and shaq though. And he absolutely holds the show together
@@MrFoodAndDrink last part had nothing to do with original comment lmao
whoever made this comp left y'all with no context on a lot of these.. the party was going all night and he couldn't wait to get to it and they shut it down right before his segment ended
Yeah the official inside the NBA channel is better
yes most of the nba stuff they react to lacks context which is fine if they want to react with NO info but like ... it completely takes away from what theyre watching
Charles is such a good sport, he always goes along with the BS they put him through with a smile on his face. He has such a great sense of humor for someone who has thrown a couple of guys through bar windows lol.
A lot of Americans can shoot a basketball well lmao just because Ernie beat him doesn’t mean he was in the nba lol
just let it be. they wont understand ...
You guys should react to Charles Barkley’s career highlights. He was surprisingly athletic for a 250lb. guy.
7:02 👀 is that the same bracelet that Charles got from the guy in the steam room or did Kenny go visit the steam room? 👀
Guys you have to do some compilations of best of Inside the NBA there are tons of more hilarious segments of Charles , shaq and Ernie as well, and you have to do Charles vs San antonio women it was one fo the best rivalries , chuck had a beef with a whole city
Just so you guys know this isnt real Shaqtin. This is just some shit compilation someone put together and put Shaqtin in the title for views. If you want actual Shaqtin a Fool make sure its from the NBA on TNT channel
Whomever is cutting these compilation is horrible. They’re leaving out all of the context that would make it even funnier.
I hope nobody recommends any more Inside the NBA with music in the background.
Please please please, watch the video, Charles Barkley - The Beast. Its his career highlights, he was a friggin beast back in the day
Watch the video explain how many times he’s been arrested for fighting fans. You guys could relate to it, with the abuse footballers get on the pitch. I don’t think I could see any footballers actually getting in multiple fights with fans.
Ernie makes 10 out of 25 3s
"He must be a former player" 😂
Practice for a year you can too!
i promise you they cant do that but hahaha its funny their standards are so low
you guys have to see charles vs shaq pain and gain edition. it's only like a 4-5 minute clip but it is funny, while also showing how much of a beast shaq is.
I adore the inside the NBA crew and I’m happy you guys get to experience the guys I grew up watching having a good ole time talking and horsing around.
Whoever did this aweful cutted compliation...you fired!!! There are a lot of unCut videos out there..and no..TNT usually doesn't hand out strikes.
Keep up the good work guys! Feels like I watch this videos with you oldheads.
Big love from germany!
Most of these highlights are half clips with the context gone... I agree, trash compilation
“Underdog” is a very short, enthusiastic member of the assistant production staff at TNT. Shaq and Charles have both taken him under their wing - to abuse occasionally. However, he is named “Underdog” because he isn’t afraid of Shaq and gives it right back when it counts.
@6:10 if I’m not mistaken Ernie never okayed pro ball, but I’m thinking he played baseball or some sports for sure back in college for Michigan back in he like early 70s?
Idk if it was basketball, but basketball isn’t the only sport he calls, he also calls Baseball as well. But if I’m not mistaken he did play baseball in college, and I’m pretty certain it was for Michigan.
P.S. I googled it for you . TNT is America only unless you have a VPN and UA-cam TV. It typically airs on the east coast after midnight. Not sure when that is for you.
More Shaqtin!!!
these are good vids you're reacting to, but fyi these aren't actual shaqtin' a fool segments. the first one you did (with the countdown) is the actual segment. these last couple are just compilations of random moments from the show. but there's plenty of actual shaqtin' segments out there to watch and they are hilarious
edit: the correct segments are done by the NBA on TNT youtube channel in case you weren't sure. i just searched "shaqtin a fool" and a lot of these random compilations pop up in the mix.
Though Daz commented on my comment the other day and said y’all had some stuff coming soon, I just wondered if you guys know when you will be doing some more content on the Try channel? I miss seeing you guys doing videos over there, I loved the things y’all we’re doing over on the Try channel.
This is a good introductory video but there's much better compilation videos on Inside the NBA's own channel and some other UA-cam channels.
10:35 Honestly I think if Kane had like Eric Cantona's notoriety or idk like maybe Vardy's antics and ended up retiring as like one of the greatest players ever, but also never won a title like Kane you could make the same joke in a PL show lmao
I wish these dudes know that Barkley was once upon a time, one of the best players and power forwards in the NBA, and not just know him as a fat funny TV guy on TNT.
I've met Barkley a few times--had dinner with him twice. (My brother worked for the Houston Rockets when Barkley was there, and they became good friends.) Anyway, he is a helluva great guy in person. He did not turn away a single person who came up to our table to ask for an autograph, and he actually took the time to talk to each autograph seeker.
Yeah Ernie Johnson never played professional basketball he he was a sports journalist and basketball tv analyst and he just knows his s*** and it's been doing it for his whole life
If you like Charles Barkley you should check out his Golf swing. It is unintentionally hilarious!
The best is that EJ and Chuck have a podcast called "The Steamroom", its awesome.
wish the guy who made the compilation would've just not edited the clips. he kept cutting and cutting, ruins the jokes
just put the link to the sponsor in the description
That's not how sponsorship like this works. They get paid for X amount of pre-roll ad reads and probably a small % of whoever buys from the link which is not great because few buy directly after clicking.
Everyone knows these shill products are trash. Just be happy for the Blokes success, and click past the ad if it bothers you.
just skip past the ad or stfu
Whoever made that video left out context. Good react y'all.
Please do more these are my favorite 💯
This video was sponsored by Rich Wallets? Cool name.
you guys should watch the full clips for "inside the nba". hard to watch these ones that are cut and clipped so much, you can't really hear all the banter and full stories
Y’all should react to Charles Barkley basketball highlights
HOW BOUT BEST OF KENNY, IF THERE IS ANY////////////////////////////
@7:01, why is Kenny wearing the bracelet that Charles got in the steam room? lol
I have had a Ridge wallet for a couple of years now and absolutely love mine.
Fun fact Shaq only made 1 three point shot in his entire nba career
Yooooo, just search, "best of inside the NBA"
There are limits to what they'll make fun of Charles Barkley for. In a game he once had an embarrassing incident where he tried to spit his chewing tobacco at a heckling fan and missed and hit a little girl with it instead. They don't bring that one up.
Can y’all please react to “all def roast me season 5 episode 9”
Not really Shaqtin a fool but still funny
"Hey man whatever your name is" 😂
Yall need to react to Ernie Johnson
A Ernie Johnson video would be good
Just react too Nba TNT best moments
Chuck is a "massive guy" compared to most people but one thing that made him such an incredible player was that he was small for a power forward. He's listed at 6'5 but, from what I understand, he's actually just shy of 6'5. He's become everyone's goofy uncle but he was a real problem on the court. He was very aggressive and wasn't afraid of shit.
Watch chuck’s highlights
Dave is a handsome boy
That show is spectacular. Not to mention Ernie Johnson the badass loving man he is, battling cancer twice and losing a son the last decade, yet is the best athlete of the 4 anymore
You guys have to find their many years long tradition of racing each other to the big board on Inside the NBA. And “run through the tape” race.
Believe it or not, Barkley's even older than Mike. He was born in 1963.
YOu have to do a compilation of Barkley taking about the women in San Antonio
if you guys want to laugh for an hour, watch them do the greatest players in the NBA draft.
React to the story about Ernie and his adopted son. A real feel good story.
♥️ OB's sm!
MORE
Ernie never played in the NBA.
There's nothing wrong with old wallets. Just another thing that didn't need to be redesigned at all. I've had the same leather one for 25+ years and it's still not even torn or frayed anywhere.
yeah back pain from sitting on an uneven lump in a car is just fine!
Ernie never played in the NBA
best sport show ever
Hi.
Please Couid you do “Buffalo Bills wild return to the playoffs (Week 17) NFL Turning point”
Thank you for removing that annoying intro music ❤️
Ej wasn’t a player
