  • Tinkering with the new Raspberry Pi Pico 2 and using it's RISC-V CPU cores with MicroPython to scroll images and text on a small OLED screen.

    risc-five, how was your experience in using the pico 2? Any different to pico 1?

      Thanks. Pico 2, for basic GPIO stuff with MicroPython, feels the same as Pico 1. The extra RAM and CPU power will be more useful for the more complicated / exotic projects like emulation.

      @@fizipcfx It supposedly has better power usage. I've yet to test that aspect. Jeff Geerling has made some progress testing that.

      Most retailers are taking pre-orders. Eben Upton states in the launch blog post that there aren't many in the sales channels right now. Pre-orders should be honored from August 19.
