Fun fact. If they would make a new movie and release it on 2022 it would be 13 years after the last one (Friday the 13th 2009) and it would been the 13th movie of this franchise.

Cant have horror trailer these days without a dark modernized cover of a classic song. Aside from that cliche factor, nice trailer 👍
I normally hate fan-made trailers for muddying my sense of what's really coming out, but this was just excellently done.
The shots were well-edited; the sources selected weren't insultingly obvious; the melancholy cover of a pop song made to sound ominous was inspired, pretty enough to like, and carefully straddling the line between sincere and corny.
Hat's off, this was excellent work.

Not saying Jason isn’t a killer but his back story wasn’t anything scary but what happens when adult don’t pay attention and he drowned. I think Freddy Kruger needs a new movie to actually do him justice I think that last remakes of Friday the 13th and A nightmare on elm street were bad. I mean I watch them but they could have been better.

This actually looks too good to be real, because it looks like it was made by a fan. If a studio did it, they would have to "deconstruct the genre" and "subvert expectations", or to put it simply, piss off fans.
Not to mention, Hollywood would make it a "wOkE" edition...

How about they make a movie about the boy himself. Jason. Its his story leading up to when he goes to camp at camp crystal lake and his terrible accident. The movie ends with his family trying to cope and Ms. Vorhees struggling to overcome her loss. You see her slowly coming apart and closes where Friday 13th part 1 begins. The camp re-opening camp Crystal Lake.. The movie is called Jason

If it's a reboot then Jason shouldn't be the killer. Bc in the first Friday the 13th, it was his mom who was the killer, she was beheaded at the end. Jason takes revenge on her killers in the second and subsequent films.

I read the rights to the film we're held up in court is why we haven't gotten a new one. Wish people would chill fix it and make us a new one already.

Jason was a savage in the woods. Michael was evil on two legs. Halloween was definitely a better movie series especially since it was rebooted in 2018 and the release of Halloween Kills. Halloween Ends won't be the end of Michael but the end of the new series. You can't kill the boogieman. I think Friday the 13th needs another shot at it. They didn't get Jason right until part 7 but by then the series had lost it's way. Like Halloween, Friday the 13th needs a fresh start.
nah Halloween movies are not better than Friday the 13 trilogy but there both really good you could say some Halloween movies are better than some Friday movies it really depends on what movies your talking about

I just have a different idea moving forward. Instead of another modern day camp movie of slash and gore, have the next movie focus on the timeline of events PRE-1980 Original Movie.
A movie that dives into the history of Jason being born, his family life, we meet his father, getting the camp open by Steve, Pam working at the camp as cook and Jason attending and interacting (or lack thereof) with the staff, we witness events leading up to his drowning, investigation, Pam's breakdown and response (coming back to murder the two counselors).
Basically a behind the scenes type movie that we didn't see from the original.
I understand some my find this boring but as a long time fan I feel it deserves that history explained so Jason is seen as the victim instead of the Villain, where Pam is seen as protective mother who was done wrong by the counselors instead of this crazy mom killer as she was portrayed right from the start in 1980. We need to see Pam in her happier nicer days, Jason as innocent kid who was bullied. I believe this method would change the perspective of the audience towards Jason and his family. It would connect the audience to this film on a deeper level of understanding and sympathy towards the Voorhee's family.
That was badass, nice editing skills.
I bet Sting wish he wouldn't have sold his music catalog after hearing this version of his masterpiece tune. Bet.

awesome trailer! i sure wish it were for a real movie. i recently read the script that they were about to start filming in 2017. it was good and i probably would have enjoyed the movie but i think it would have pissed off a lot of fans. it changed a lot about the backstory of jason

What I don't get is how they EVER... EVER... made a Friday the 13th part 2, 3, or any sequels to this franchise in the first place. If you'll remember, Jason's mother was the bad guy in the very first one BECAUSE Jason DIED/DROWNED at 8 yrs. old because the counselors weren't paying attention. When someone bought it 26 later and wanted to reopen it she went on her rampage to stop that. HOW DOES JASON (a dead 8 year old boy) GROW TO BE 6'+ IF HE DIED 26 YEARS EARLIER?

Victor Miller wants the Friday the13th franchise to return back to it's roots and so more than likely there are going to be a direct sequel to the original Friday the13th franchise under Paramount Pictures and there's a good chance that Mr.Harry Manfredini is going to comeback with the original score for the Friday the13th Franchise as well as Mr.Tom Savini for the practical effects or special effects for the Friday the13th franchise because according to Mr.Victor Miller there will not be any CGI effects involving the Friday the13th franchise going forward and i will not be ruling out a possible comeback by the one and only Mr.Kane W.Hodder as Jason Voorhees once again because Mr.Victor Miller wants an old school Friday the13th back in the theater's when they do produce one fingers crossed!
Part of this was fear street and another part was American horror story and clips from the last reboot but definitely good editing tho

I used to go to camps in the 80s those bridges were always scary to walk on cuz only bush n u could never see around the corner u always imagined jason when taking the turm lol
hopefully when the real next friday comes out it is set in the 80s. seeing a bunch of modern people on cell phones would be sad. it is an 80s franchise and works best in the 80s. gutting the 80s out of it is gutting its essence.
Plenty of ways to kill off cell phones and hell since the actual camp used is located in the Appalachian area even if it was modernized most of those areas are still not rigged up with cell towers. One of the few natural places on earth where cellphone tech doesn't work.
This will be the 13th movie if u count all the movies including jason vs freddy

They can make a really good movie. I know many love the old classics. They’re fun. But they’re not greatly made like at least one entry in every other franchise. it needs a quality horror entry that can stand with the first Halloween and nightmare on elm street. Even Texas chainsaw has the classic Toby hopper film.
