I took it as he was suggesting that is what people will think rather than that is what he thinks. And to an extent, that is correct. Those with working class backgrounds who work in trades have always been viewed as less intelligent or under educated. The facts do not always matter to social stigma... Or he was being a dick, but I'd much rather think better of people and believe the former.

I'm a builder... I'm also educated beyond degree level. I know what is involved in both worlds and I have a real problem with people like this tit making sweeping generalisations.
