  • Ha csak egy focivideót nézel meg tőlem, azt javaslom ez legyen az. Azt hiszem ebben minden benne van, amiért az egészet csinálom.
    ps.
For years I have been working on a side passion project. I am visiting football stadiums around the world and making a small report about the city and the game in a guerrilla documentary style.
I try to talk to the locals and ask them how they see their city and their society. And I also just walk around randomly and capture what I experience. It is a sort of cultural anthropology project of mine. I am doing it in Hungarian because for me it is important that I am using my mother tongue. With this project I try to establish something in the near future for Hungarian speaking people who live (or born) outside Hungary. Because our language connects us, wherever we are.
My recent trip was an exceptional one. First of all I always wanted to visit Oslo because one of my all time favourite movies takes place there. Reprise created by Joachim Trier and Eskil Vogt. So to honour them, I replayed some of the scenes during my visit.
When I wanted to fly back to Schipol, my flight got cancelled (yes it was on that historical Monday evening when weather and technical errors made it impossible to fly back to the Netherlands). Meanwhile Oslo is a beautiful city, it is not the cheapest one to book something last minute. While waiting to figure something out (and hoping that I won't be stuck at the airport for years like Tom Hanks in The Terminal) I started to chat with a fellow passenger, Thijs, who is from Belgium, living in the NL. He was visiting his Norwegian girlfriend who is from Bergen but doing an internship at an architect bureau in Oslo. They met during Erasmus in Barcelona and have been together ever since. L'auberge espagnole, in real life. Anyways I asked Thijs if it's ok if I sleep on the couch for one night, since there is nowhere else to go, and even though these days were super sunny in Oslo, when the sun goes down it's still freezing outside.
When we arrived at the inner city wooden apartment of his girlfriend she was preparing a really nice dish for us, and during dinner we were chatting about life, cancelled flights and about movies of course.
Something to remember forever. And something I can always rewatch since I made a video out of it.
The world is a better place if we start to talk to each other. After all, we all want the same. Just listen to the video between 14:02 - 15:50.
