I love finding folklore from local to anywhere in the world and so many of them are shared freely without having to travel I have a playlist full of them they never cease to amaze me and inspire me for other works folk saints are also quite interesting as I tend to go for Roman Catholic folk lore but the religious ones are extremely interesting especially Indian . I'm listening to the first story and I just had to stop it because I can't understand and I get it I no this is just a story but I don't understand how somebody can be so stupid! I mean the person said it sound like this creature or dear if you will shaking the walls in a foundation so why would you want to go in there where is that it's just beyond stupid

I've heard some do that and ruin the creepy eerie vibe.. Too much enthusiasm just makes me cringe so hard lbvs 😅😭🙇🏼♂️ there might be some who can pull if off, but I wish I knew the name of one of these popular ones who I have to skip or back out every time someone collaborates with him lol. Crazy thing about backwoods campsites... I live in a small mountain town with a ton of secluded area within a half days hike. A good friend and I packed up and headed out simply to have some peace and quiet and enjoy a good buzz, beer and whiskey, only to discover a complete abandoned campsite! I mean bed rolls, clothing, lanterns ect and a wallet with the ID of a rather attractive middle aged woman along with cards and several hundred dollars in cash. We took the wallet marking the site on our map turning it into the local forest service law enforcement officers depot. Three months later the woman contacted me to thank us for turning in her wallet, and the story she told me belongs here.

One of the scariest things I can imagine happening while I'm camping in woods or wilderness, is suddenly hearing and/or seeing a vehicle approach! Especially because, if I'm camping in the forest, it's going to be at a site that is not easily accessible by car. All the more reason that it would be scary as F to hear one approaching! Edit: I should clarify that I'm speaking especially within the context of this happening at nighttime. However, as I mentioned, the remoteness of any site I choose to camp at would make the mere presence of any car/truck alarming at anytime of day!
I’ve experienced that primitive camping in a secluded place near a lake. Just a big clearing and a latrine, and we were alone. A vehicle came out a couple of hours after dark, and my partner and I located our weapons, but they drove up, saw us, and left. I did not like that one bit, but as it was a state park, we figured it was a ranger.

Hi Swamp Dweller, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your stories! I have a list of narrators I really enjoy and listen to on a regular basis, you being one of them! Some stories I’ve listened to multiple times! One of the things I’ve noticed is that y’all promote each other, this is one of the reasons I so enjoy this community and listen so much, y’all give next person a hand up and work together on each other’s channels!

Thanks Swamp and Viidith! I've always liked how the horror narrators keep each other in mind. Good for us listeners so we get to find narrators we might have missed. I really liked the kayaking story and the one with the otherwordly coffins. Both really well written.

Interesting fact the average human can out run a t rex with ease the average top speed of t rex is 15-40mph if it had time to build up speed but generally speaking they aren't as fast as the movies make um out to be funny as well

Very good story telling and very fluent tone,expression and emotions. It’s so good that u feel like you are actually are in the moment of action or that you are the character in the story. Bet you where really good in English at school when you attended it.

I love these little side projects that your always working on doing. Such as the mysterious unsolved or explained murders that you also do stories about from time to time. I've always enjoyed all kinds of mysteries especially that of those PPL who go missing without a trace. In most cases occur in many of the numerous National Parks. I've been fascinated with the like mysterious of the MISSING. I am very curious as to what EXACTLY is occurring in these places. With the majority of these ppl are just simple DISAPPEARING with out any kind of A trace what so ever as to where they CLD have POSSIBLY gone to. What EXACTLY is happening to all of these ppl & where CLD they have all possibly gone to upon those who APPARENTLY just go MISSING without any kind of reasoning or comprehension & are thus just vanishing out of the clear blue w/ no trace whatsoever.

Love this one!! Wendigo psychosis, is what he was experiencing. It comes from long winters alone in the woods when food is short and people end up eating other people they go a little crazy and the scientific term for the psychotic break is called wendigo psychosis

Stuck inside all day with the rain bands from the tropical storm, these stories hit the spot! I can't say I understood the one about the man alone in the frozen cabin.... it left me with a feeling of mystery. But as a former English teacher, I can say that there's some great writing & story telling here.
It’s folklore about the wendigo, humans who become cannibals become them. They hunt humans in the woods and have the ability to use their victims voices and skins as disguises.

That first story was fuckin heavy man. Ive been in the hallucination part of hunger myself. I wasn't nearly to the point of eating my fellow species but, i definitely saw and heard shit that wasn't there. Thank you to the authors and of course you Swamp.

Bruh some of the stories I’m just like “wtf is going on?”
They just go and detail some monster ripping up all their friends and either end the story or detail something even weirder. Love that you keep the curse words in the story unlike most other narrators, it keeps it true to the story and it’s funny sometimes.
The average speed of a t rex is 11-45mph in a forest they top at 15mph so in theory an average human can out run them, they only reach 40mph but only in a straight line, its a common myth to believe they are fast...but anyways I love your content man keep them coming

Excellent creepy stories. I cut it off when the guy was going to cut up the man to eat, but about 15 minutes later, I cut it back on, I just had to finish it. These stories freaked me out, really bad.

I like that when you cuss you are the only storyteller that makes it feel natural,..and I listen to quite a few. I hate hearing narrators that feel it’s necessary to cuss but sound completely insincere when they do it. Believe me, cussing to add depth to a story means nothing if it doesn’t sound natural.

As far as i know, corpse has moved on to music and gaming because he enjoys it more. 🤔
He recently said in a stream that he still loves narrating scary stories, but with his declining health it’s too difficult to narrate for that long, so he probably won’t be doing it anymore and, yes, he’s also trying to focus on his music

The story about Bambi is stupid. "I know deer can eat meat so it wasn't a big deal." Deer only eat it in extreme conditions they eat grasses and herbaceous plants by choice and don't have the dentition and digestive tract for meat.

Viidith22 is the best. Top 3 of all creepypasta narrator's imo. definitely the most underrated by far. I've been trying to help his channel too. dunno why UA-cam hates him so much. he doesn't appear in most normal searches. he went from 25-35k in like a week, then it's taken months to go from 35 to 38k. not cool UA-cam. dudes a matter storyteller. deserves recognition.
