This is why the single most important factor for any country's prosperity is strong, legitimate, respected institutions. Weak institutions create a power vacuum that criminals and extremists can exploit. Don't ever support any politician that tries to weaken institutions even if their goal is to do something you think is good.

The Mexican army is finally doing what they should have been allowed to do years ago. Mexico should deploy all military forces into urban areas and root out gangs.
That has already been done, if yall read your history. In the Felipe Calderon sextenial, a whole war was raged. And the cartels won. You cannot win the war on drugs. Legalize it. It is a mental problem, not a legal one.
The respect your chanel commands is huge, as a Mexican every single time I see one of these "cartel bad, Mexican military bad" stye videos its always the same shallow narrative that doesn't come close to the reality. The way you always dig deep into the subject makes it impressive. You understand that its not a black and white situation, you understand the way us Mexicans are always fed up with the government and that shoutout to the Mexican soldiers was just the cherry on top. Seriusly in every videos the Mexican military is always present as this inferior force to the cartels, Its like saying US soldiers were inferior to the Taliban in Afghanistan, its ignorant. Also you should mention the "narco culture" which is artist making songs to the cartels, then kids and the general and ignorant population makes them famous which just glorifies these rats. Also acording to some news articles culican small business owners have lost millions and millions of pesos. Keep this up, and may god be with you. CUACHIC!
Holy shit yes finally, more of this needs to be said more, I always bring this up and it always aggravates the hell out of me how so many in the U.S. just fucking dick-ride the cartels- it’s so fucking cringe and they severely overestimate them. Obviously they still have way too much power and influence but it’s not like they’re dunking on the Mexican forces at all.
True. The reason why it’s so hard to beat the cartels is most likely that the Mexican military is actually trying to avoid civilian casualties, while the cartels just don’t care. And it’s not as if the cartel members are wearing uniforms, so they can blend in. That puts the Mexican army at a big disadvantage, even though it’s a far superior fighting force in a straight-up battle. That said, the Mexican army having a lot more manpower and funding would greatly help matters. It is very sad to see Mexico like this. I used to visit a lot in the early-mid 90s before the violence got out of control, and Mexicans are wonderful people overall.
eh no, they only sell products that are baught willingly by the customers, they dont do 9/11's to send a message like the middle east, otho they were clearly saying "leave us alone"
Nah because then we would have to open the border to Mexico for refuge. As you can see by who won the election, Americans don’t want to open the borders and potentially go to war with them.
Shout out to the good people in Mexico who are fighting this and putting their life on the line. It’s one of the biggest and longest lasting uphill battles. It must feel hopeless but I admire the fact they are trying to do their job and protect their homeland
I'm a Mexican Criminology student; as far as recent events go we've gotten to see how within the Sinaloa cartel these 2 factions have gotten allegiances with different cartels such as the Chapitos joining forces with the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación through El Jardinero, sent by the H8 which was the I think current right hand for el Mencho. Although the CJNG currently also has internal conflicts as far as we know, related to a succession due to el Mencho's illness, there's no real confirmation on this as far as we've seen, we've just read about it but yeah, I personally haven't looked too deep into that. But yeah, most of the governors are in bed with the respective cartels. The two major ones in Mexico are the CDS and CJNG but even their own members get out of line and have the main body send sicarios to purge, such was the case of El 20 and his accomplices in el Estado de México because of not following the cartel's rules. But yeah, lots of issues.
What do you know about the betrayal of el Mayo ?? Here in Chihuahua it seems he CDS wants to get in, they are clashing with Juarez cartel and la Línea, we dont know why, but we dont like it, specially cuz the Sinaloa are the one who bring meth and Lively, fentanil, tributes and kidnapping
sadly they are pretty use to that, is kinda normal, just like living in afghanistan, thats why mexico sometimes is refer as Mexijistan in latin america lol
With regards to local police being on the Cartel's payroll, in my hometown the main Cartel guy in charge of that area (or as they call it, the "plaza") was also the local police chief.
I live in Houston, Texas, and some of the greatest people I’ve met are Hispanic. Super hard-working, family oriented, and they have a lot of loyalty to their country and in this case, America. I am proud to have them alongside of us in this fight as there are many good people from Mexico and South American countries realize in that we all live under one roof and that roof is held up by all of us joining together to fight the evil and the people that don’t represent our values. If the US unleashes on the cartels like we are capable of, they will be gone in a matter of 2 months. Many of them are delusional to our capabilities due to America’s negligence and lack of upholding Our real laws due to corrupt politicians and law enforcement accepting their bribes. Once people go in that don’t care about any of those things, it will be quick and effective.

@@jorgecervantes3725the war on drugs is how many decades old now? I lived in Mexico for 2 years when I was a mormon missionary. 2009-2011 I stayed in 7 different cities during the time. 1 time the city I was in was taken over by Los Zetas, they stole semi trucks, parked them on all the freeways and lit them on fire. Mexican Marines flew in after a couple days and took it back. Shit was wild At a certain point it was mundane to see Federal police and Miltary fight Cartels in the street.
This is exactly why we need the military on the border and we need to protect it at all costs. I don't think people understand how dangerous the cartel really is for the American people. They live in a fantasy world, I was a hard drug addict for 20 years, I know exactly the type of danger that come with illegal immigrants and drugs.
I get more news from you and other similar channels than I do from legacy media. Thanks for all of the reporting and research that you put into these Cappy.
Culiacan resident here; everyone is at home by 9pm, huge uptick in car jackings, dead bodies spread out in the countryside, muggings happening in one of our university campuses, and our local economy is going into shambles
Lol they’re not pocking they already infiltrated there business into the u.s. Who do you think brings in the drugs? It’s the u.s citizens. Most drugs come in through the legal entry points. Also they are the ones who drive the big trucks filled with immigrants to bring them deeper into the u.s. Remember all those news stories about large numbers of immigrants dying because the trucker left them there in the heat.
Yep ... crazy shyte. The USA supplies the Cartels with an enormous market to sell their drugs & also they manufacture (& sell) the Cartels the guns they use to protect themselves so they can sell the drugs to Americans. Dumb Yanks
Finally some common sense. If magically Mexico disappears from the world, the problem will remain. México is just caught in between suppliers and buyers.
@@tems6 I didn't suggest everything was bad- maybe you should go back and read my statement again with a focus on comprehension. The most important things I noticed were a complete absence of de jour and de facto political institutions and the complete lack of law and order. It was great having Federal army soldiers visit us on launch and ask if we wanted to hold and take photos with their automatic weapons. So too, when sitting at a road side resto and watching a couple trucks full of soldiers stop, dismount and station themselves around the area so their commander could walk into the local officials office- good times.
Could you imagine living there? Growing up in those war zones? I have so much respect for the civilians and soldiers willing to stand up to these psychopaths. What a life, all cause you were randomly born there. We cannot take America for granted.
Forcing the Cartel to spend money fighting a war instead of shipping its drugs to make money is a strategy that eventually will work but could cost countless lives. It has to be a united effort though eventually they will run out of money.
@@marcspence1905 Right. The will to continue the fight against the cartels LONG before they come even close to running out of money. Even if somehow you're able to stop the supply of all incoming cash shipments to the cartels, which would be practically impossible, they still have literal mountains of cash, to the point that storing the amounts of cash is troublesome. Pablo Escobar is said to have buried/hidden literal fortunes of currency in various locations, you know, just in case.
@@southtxgunner2388 It would take eradication and the playbook of El Salvador and the Philippines. Its possible but the conflict down there is allowed to continue. Too much money involved and to have a long bloody war is not feasible for the U.S. So small tactical wins to disrupt them is green lighted. Its a vicious cycle how drugs are circulated even after a bust, our own recirculates and thus a never ending war.
The Gen Z cartel brutality isn't surprising since these people grow up as violence happens on a daily basis, they're numb with what we consider as a horrific act. Also didn't helped since the cartel is the 'prospering business' in the country. They also has grip outside 'illegal' business like the legal one and including entertainment.
I grew up in the same situation right here in America THE only difference is cartel gets a hold of many especially males at a young age and force them into training for gangs and this kind of life.
@@Taskandpurposeit also depends on the chillie, theres this movie called "saving private perez" (kinda parody of "saving private ryan") in short, mexican cartel leader goes to middle east to save his brother who enlisted in the usa army and was captured by local insurgents, they used a bottle of hot sauce to interrogate a pair of locals for information, pretty good movie tbh
Cartels have broken apart and fought over market shares before. Both when external state forces arrest their leaders and from feuds developing internally.
Nah it’s cuhz MZ wants to give up the biggest buyers and gun suppliers from the American government so there’s a war due to the threat of maybe a temporary end of cartels
Weapons found at mexican crime scenes that were purchased by the mexican military/Law Enforcement from the USA, and then sold too/stolen by the cartels are counted as "Crime guns from the USA". Weapons that are untraceable are not factored in. Thats how they get such a high percentages of USA guns in Mexican crime.
Source? Because I haven't seen any that, no doubt it happens, but the majority of Mexicans Army rifles are either Mexican or European made with a few American made
As a Mexican/American and U.S. Marine Corps veteran I fully support the strategy of President Sheinbaum. And, I do believe U.S. special interests are behind a lot of the Narco problems in México and Latin America.
They should do the same, like Bukele did in El Salvador. This issue can be resolved, but i believe that the corruption inside of the Mexican government is holding them back.
Remember El Salvador was dealing with 2 organizations in a considerably smaller country. And they had nowhere near 107K members. The same tactics are not possible.
Remember that salvador fits 93 times in México and at the same time, the mara gangs weren't as powerful as cartels, and also, law forces had a ways to recognize them like tattoos, way to dress, in México a grandpa dressed with huaraches and riding on a donkey can be part of a Cartel isnt as simple as you think.
If the title of this video comes true and cartel wars come to America, I have zero doubt Trump will send military forces into Mexico to shut them down. He's already brought it up with the situation as it is, if there's an active war crossing the border, no sane American would protest him doing it.
I just think that all of this brings up the argument that America should annex Mexico It would add more great vacation and real estate along with providing the citizens a solid foundation and a chance to thrive along with protection
I've argued that if the US military is going to be engaged in any conflict outside the US, it should start here. It would not be a good time, but it would get Mexico to a safer stable place overall in the least amount of time. There would be bloodshed and our border would be dangerous moreso than it is now. However, I think helping fix Mexico and making it a place where people can live, feel safe and thrive would also help the immigration issues we face. I live in Texas and have made friends with people who came here illegally, sometimes long ago, and worked to get legal status. They are some of the nicest people I've ever met, yet I know they went through hell to get here. Personally, I'm proud of people, poor or not, who try to better themselves and I think we should try and help that kind of cause.

This is why the single most important factor for any country's prosperity is strong, legitimate, respected institutions. Weak institutions create a power vacuum that criminals and extremists can exploit.

Forcing the Cartel to spend money fighting a war instead of shipping its drugs to make money is a strategy that eventually will work but could cost countless lives. It has to be a united effort though eventually they will run out of money.
Idk they have a infinite money glitch. As long as there is demand. They will have the supply.
@@marcspence1905 Right. The will to continue the fight against the cartels LONG before they come even close to running out of money.
