I know this isnt really the same thing but its pretty similar. A few years back, my (then) boyfriend was dual streaming with a twitch friend and i was casually in both their chats. I was also drawing some REALLY nsfw stuff for my boyfriend, and had just showed him via a link in his chat (he said it was ok to link). The other dude gets curious abd is like "hey post the link in my chat i wanna see!!" So im like "bro r u sure? Its really nsfw like fully" and hes like "yeah no problem thats fine!" So i send the link. Note that its gay nsfw so no girls at all. Bro gets pissed off immediately like "why the fuck did you show me that its so gross!!"

From what I guess. There's been signs in the past of similar behavior. It's just that no one watching had it get attention. It's never just the one incident. Most people commenting on it probably find him too boring to check if this is a pattern. Hell, it's possible people have even brought it up before on social media. It's just the right eyes didn't see it. This can breed false confidence and false despair. Assuming that it not getting attention means no one cares when the people who need to see it just didn't
I unfortunately had something happen to me a lot like this but in my high school latin class. Unfortunately, I lost both of my brother five years apart and both passed from two completely different things. Both very traumatic. The suckiest part is I had been in therapy working on being able to open up about emotions and dealing with the memories. I remember it was my first time telling a friend in Latin and the kid sitting behind us told me to shut up and that no one cared. It broke my heart and took me a while to talk about it to anyone. I do think I brought it up at a strange time and could have picked a better place but yeah it sucked. I was holding back tears the whole time. Highschool sucked for me anyway. He has a Facebook so I have always thought about messaging him to ask if he mistook what I said to be something else or if he knew exactly what I said and actually meant that. Oh and if by some EXTREMELY small chance miss Kirby sees this... I hope you are doing better. You have A LOT of support from not only huge streamers and UA-camrs but us viewers. You're awesome!
Do not ask someone what they've been up to or how they're doing if you couldn't care less. Dudes a small streamer and the only way to succeed that way is to have a more intimate relationship with your audience. Its like he wants to fake that so he can get paid but then gets mad when he actually needs to do it for real.
he didnt even ask "how are you ?" when he make the morale to her, he specificaly asked "where have you been ?" meaning he had to expect that she could have said something sad and yet still got mad knowing it was a possibility with that question
If I remember a similar story correctly, there was time when a viewer of another streamer, told them how their streams steered them away from suicide, and the streamer proceeds to just roast them like they were insulted. It’s incredible the level of *Yikes* we can reach. Edit: Actually, I think the streamer got mad because he felt the viewer “didn’t have to give him that responsibility”, even though the viewer was using past tense (cause you know, they weren’t having those feelings anymore).
This once happened to me irl when my grandma had just died. I was in a school musical and it was the night my grandma was meant to come. Then one of the older cast held a meeting and said words to the effect of “it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life. When we are here that doesn’t matter” and I know they didn’t know what had happened, and they didn’t name me by name (but I was crying pretty obviously and everyone would’ve known who I am) they made me feel so embarrassed. And whilst it was a musical and I understand her point my GRANDMA had just DIED. So that girl must have felt absolutely horrible being publicly named and shamed in public for doing nothing more than make a comment.
I just wanna say pyro I haven’t seen every video but I’ve been subbed too you for awhile and thanks for interacting with the small ones it means something
If her trauma ruined his day, imagine what it did to hers? It would have taken far less time to respond with kindness than it did to go off on his rant. A simple "I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I'm glad you're feeling up to joining us again" is all it takes.
I’ve seen plenty of streams from a variety of people and whenever they have someone say bad news in chat they all respond with “I’m sorry I hope you’re okay” and that’s all that needs to be said. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
I remember going through a real dark time and being on a Jarvis Johnson stream a few years back when he was a smaller channel, and when I felt like falling into a depressive pit and spiraling in anxiety, I asked what he did with anxiety and he casually just responded "it's a lot of fake it till you make it" and moved on to the other question The fact he responded to my comment, some kid that just looked up to him, it genuinely changed my life, although generic advice, I took it to heart due to it being from one of my favourite youtubers at the time and it has changed my life for the better. It sucks to see streamers like this guy talk down to their audience as if they're inferior, I'd rather he just ignore the message entirely the other times then go down in some tantrum, especially if the viewer was a regular My condolences to the viewer and their family, I hope stuff for them gets better
Insane that he not only asked then ignored the question but when she probably thought he didn’t see it and said it again or was talking to someone else in chat then he decided to go off on her and say act like she was trauma dumping. Genuinely one of the people I hope never succeeds on Twitch.
Man practically said Cope and Reserve Your Trauma In A Bottle as his clown attire materialized through that point onwards with his reasonings nobody asked for.
His dad clearly didn’t give him a “oh sorry hope you’re alright” honestly if he got a “good job son” or “nice going buddy” he’d crumble like thanos snap lel
I remember last year when my sis attempted and thankfully failed suicide, she was in critical condition, I was a mess and couldn't work. On one of those days I was off, I watched the comedy metal band Psychostick play a livestream concert and felt like donating twenty bucks. Their response was the most genuine and heartfelt that they could've done, while being professional about it, just thankful that it wasn't worse and hoping their stupid, funny music could help cheer me up. If I were to ever meet them out in public, I'd gladly buy them a drink. It doesn't take much to be sympathetic, just a few kind words and well wishes, that's it, no matter how bad the situation.
I have had the same thing happen to me in person. It's to the point I can't tell the truth. I have to be fake. It keeps the pain alive. So, thank you for explaining to me that real people with heavy loads to bare should not talk. It helps society so much. Especially in the USA where going to a therapist cost a lot of money.
I feel sorry for the person that lost someone and the streamer just broke emotionally, I hope they're okay, if you are in this comment section, take care.
For people who don't like honest answers to the questions they literally ask other people, I have a great solution for you: stop asking those questions. Simple and easy, no?
For me, I'd tell my audience that they shouldn't worry about showing their emotions on stream and even tell them the community is there to help, but at the same time if it gets super personal like to the point they turn me into their therapist, I'd just be polite and tell them that I'm sorry for them and just tell them to take as much time as they need. There is no reason to ever lash out at fans
it really isn't that hard to act humane even if you aren't, you literally see it everywhere as long as you're willing to look and take notes especially at that age.
This is the exact opposite of my experience with a UA-camr/streamer called ‘Mikero Munch’. During lockdown, without school or social interaction, I watched all his streams, all his videos and became a consistent part of his rather small community. When I went back to school, I kinda stopped watching the streams. When I came back like 9 months later, he nearly instantly called me out by name and asked me how my exams went. Really made me feel seen
He's in denial with himself that he was a gargantuan asshole in a span of minutes. It hurts much more since, he was the one who initiated the entire scenario...

Love that you threw in that Doc clip. Much as an arrogant character he plays, he adores his audience and gets real when someone gives him a genuine compliment.
In a public setting (online) you should even more so be able to share what's bothering you. For most it's easier to share with people you don't know in real life. On a Discord server I'm on someone started talking about how their girlfriend just broke up with them and 20 people came together to help him and distract him a bit. He said it really helped him, so I definitely encourage you to share stuff online
Nope. You literally shouldn't do that. Because you are setting expectations that random people should be there for you. Also, there are psychos who fake trauma for attention like literally 50 percent of sob stories are fake. And what message does that send to your real friends. That you're a bad friend who doesn't trust his real friends for support. I'd be offended if my friend didn't trust me but instead trusted random strangers. But hey, you be parasocial all you want, I just personally don't believe it's healthy.

To be alone is for the ego to never be able to confirm if you are dead or alive.
I wonder the same thing. My friend streams and is lucky to get more than 10+ viewers some nights. And she is not at all like this. I guess, I should tell her to start acting like a bitch and end up getting more viewers. I am joking. I am joking.

Christ that was terrible. Man could have just said "I'm sorry for your loss, hope things get better for you" and be done with it
He really went out of his way to look like an asshole lol
Exactly.
even someone who calls himself "Dr Disrespect" was more respctful
Hell, even ignoring the reply entirely would've been fine.
Good luck with your recovery Pyro! Get better soon
Do not ask someone what they've been up to or how they're doing if you couldn't care less.
Dudes a small streamer and the only way to succeed that way is to have a more intimate relationship with your audience. Its like he wants to fake that so he can get paid but then gets mad when he actually needs to do it for real.
i think he doesn't understand it's more profitable to at least _pretend_ to interact with his audience.
Some people do not know how to connect with others and grow.
I can’t believe Pyro forgot to check his TF2 mod folder before the stream, his career is truly over.
I just love how the top comment is always someone roasting pyro while also referencing the video title😂😂😂

Reported for mass hallucination.
A simple "welp, that sucks, hope things get better for you" would've sufficed, there was absolutely no reason to blow up at them like that.
he didnt even ask "how are you ?" when he make the morale to her, he specificaly asked "where have you been ?" meaning he had to expect that she could have said something sad and yet still got mad knowing it was a possibility with that question
Oh god, I hope the viewer is ok at least. Sadly it wouldn't have been surprising if they did end up trying too take there life afterwards.

I wish society as a whole would stop elevating streamers to fame & ego.
Would it kill him if he just said "I'm really sorry for your loss. We are with you and wish to you the best."
Or even just "That sucks, hopefully this stream helps take your mind off it"
Anything even resembling basic human empathy
As generic as it sounds, it's still a great response. It's generic because it works the best in this situation.
Apparently it would because asshole doubled down on his “apology”.
guy is a douchebag
nah bro, it's Friday.
Who would have thought a guy using the handle "We found the body" would be carefree about a death.
I remember being younger and having a streamer tell me I was wrong for grieving the loss of my grandmother. Any behavior like this hits close to home
Man literally made himself the face of toxic Positivity and how NOT to have bedside manner 💀
I’m really sorry that happened. Something similar happened in my high school theatre group before I joined.
The way he asked why she was gone for so long, instead of just "how are you", made it sound especially like he wanted an explanation.

I remember going through a real dark time and being on a Jarvis Johnson stream a few years back when he was a smaller channel, and when I felt like falling into a depressive pit and spiraling in anxiety, I asked what he did with anxiety and he casually just responded "it's a lot of fake it till you make it" and moved on to the other question
The fact he responded to my comment, some kid that just looked up to him, it genuinely changed my life, although generic advice, I took it to heart due to it being from one of my favourite youtubers at the time and it has changed my life for the better. It sucks to see streamers like this guy talk down to their audience as if they're inferior, I'd rather he just ignore the message entirely the other times then go down in some tantrum, especially if the viewer was a regular
My condolences to the viewer and their family, I hope stuff for them gets better
All he had to say was "I'm sorry to hear that".
"There are two acceptable responses in a public place,"
The 50kgs of C4 in my backpack:
Insane that he not only asked then ignored the question but when she probably thought he didn’t see it and said it again or was talking to someone else in chat then he decided to go off on her and say act like she was trauma dumping.
Genuinely one of the people I hope never succeeds on Twitch.
What an un greatful poor excuse of a human. Social media is making most people devolve

I hate when I ask people questions and they answer me honestly instead of being disingenuous or lying.
His dad clearly didn’t give him a “oh sorry hope you’re alright” honestly if he got a “good job son” or “nice going buddy” he’d crumble like thanos snap lel

"I don't want the stream to be hijacked, therefore I'm going to hang onto it and talk about if for the next few minutes"

Don’t know you but glad she made it through
Trauma dumping sucks, but if you can't even give the slightest amount of sympathy to someone grieving, you are in the wrong
“Your mom died? Dude that’s cringe. Stop ruining the vibes.”

This man’s mindset is basically just “There’s too much sadness on my chat go be sad somewhere else.”
it really isn't that hard to act humane even if you aren't, you literally see it everywhere as long as you're willing to look and take notes especially at that age.
This streamer somehow found a faster way to ruin his reputation than Pyro streaming Team Fortress 2 with dubious mods
This is why people can't say genuine answer when people ask "how are you?"
His "apology" would have also been much better if he hadn't been caught admitting he just did it "because he doesn't like her" afterwards
He's in denial with himself that he was a gargantuan asshole in a span of minutes.
It hurts much more since, he was the one who initiated the entire scenario...
