@theresamorrison2638 It's the 300 unnecessary witnesses being called by the prosecution. Did we really need an entire day to discuss a fingerprint in blood? Or several ex co-workers to just confirm they worked with Kayla and Adam at dunkin doughnuts? And is it really necessary for the jury to hear from every single detective, investigator, and officer that stepped foot into the F.I.T. room to remove ceiling tiles. The Jury is going to be unbelievably exhausted from irrelevant testimony long before the defense starts calling witnesses.

This is the question everybody is asking: why he got custody? Apparently the family court judge who presided the case: mark Newman, gave custody to the bio father because the bio mother didn't show up in court that day ( because she had another custody hearing for another of her kid on that same day! Obviously she did not have great legal representation to avoid this overlapping)...the question as why the judge did not taken in to account that the bio dad was a massive felon, had killed, was a drug addict and was a violent person ...well, this is still to be unpacked, would love to see the court document of the actual custody deliberation.
I think they should make a deal with the bio dad to find out how did he dispose of the body...

Adam’s lawyers are ridiculous. The whole time questioning Kayla, never once did they ask if Kayla ever mistreated Harmony or hit her. Never asked Kayla about her relationship with Harmony and how she felt about Harmony.
Never asked why Kayla was scared of Adam when she clearly stated that the first time Adam looked with evil eyes or whatever was when he was beating Harmony to death. Which clearly implies Adam never hit or abused her before he started believing Kayla was informing on him to police so why was she too scared to try to stop him from hurting Harmony that day in the car or the many times prior to when he killed her.
There was so many opportunities to call Kayla out on why she didn’t intervene to help Harmony or if she ever did anything to Harmony herself. Testimony indicates Harmony was scared of both Kayla and Adam.
You would think when claiming Kayla killed Harmony that the lawyer would question her on how she treated Harmony. There may have been hope for catching Kayla out lying and seeing her deal fall through so she could be charged. We all know if Adam was hurting one of Kayla’s children that she would not have sat by watching her child be beaten then do nothing whilst her child died on the back seat. Kayla was just as abusive and indifferent to Harmony as Adam was. If Adam’s lawyer was any good at all, she could have at least proven that with proper questioning.

Idk... they were both addicts so it wouldn't be uncommon for her to sit back while under the influence while Adam hit their other children.
I also don't understand the defense. They questioned her about food and what she was feeding them and what food they had available to them as if this was a starving case. I know they're trying to make her out to be the bad person but they're not doing it correctly. They aren't asking questions that would paint her to seem guilty or for the jury to even question her own motives, thus creating reasonable doubt. His attorney is a Clown.

I don't know I would've thought the jurors need to see that ceiling stain right up close regardless of what the judge said was of no need.

Just out of curiosity: so far, who here thinks the state is meeting its burden & that Adam Montgomery will be found guilty based on the evidence presented in court?
And who thinks the defense has sufficiently shown that there is enough reasonable doubt to find Adam Montgomery not guilty?

    • @SSN-tl8vh
      @SSN-tl8vh 10 місяців тому +19

I think he will be found guilty. The state is doing the best they can based on the evidence they have and the quality of witnesses they are forced to present.
But I think Adam will be found guilty because 1. Who admits to abusing their daughter's dead body 2. But doesn't show up for their murder trial? This is sus.
I am certain the jurors hate Kayla, but she's not on trial, unfortunately. Can you imagine what they think of being forced to listen to this testimony while the accused doesn't even care enough to show up?
This alone would show his guilt. He doesn't care enough to want to know what happened to his daughter or what others are saying happened...

    • @SSN-tl8vh

Off of what has presented thus far all we really have proof of is his finger prints being located on actual evidence where decomp was present. As far as actual proof that he solely was responsible for Harmony's death and was the sole participant.. there hasn't been any relatable evidence to the actual murder. Just the evidence of the aftermath.
I think he's guilty and I also think Kayla is since he said he'd take all responsibility for her so she could continue to be a mom to their sons.. she stated that in her testimony on both days. There has not been enough presented to rule out Kayla. Adam has admitted to tampering with the corpse, and Kayla admitted on stand she helped move the body from location to location.. what neither have ever admitted to is the actual murder.
Sadly unless Harmony is recovered I don't know if they can prove who actually caused her death between Adam and Kayla.

The jury may come to the conclusion that the state didn't meet its burden of proof. 9ne thing I was wondering about was the day Kayla testified when she was practically n9dding off and barely opened her eyes during her testimony. @Gasweetpea69 10 місяців тому +3

First off I think with a lot of the evidence mentioned that he definitely tied to it. But Kevin alone said that Adam hit Harmony and gave her a black eye. So he has no problem with being overly hard and rough with her. I don’t how much Kayla played in treating her badly or abusing her, i see her more as she did nothing for her. She saw it, allowed it and went on it wasn’t happening to her or her boys so not her problem, not her daughter. So she is still guilty regardless. I also think Adam killed her, not Kayla. I say that because if he can beat Harmony the way he did then beat Kayla for what she did. If Kayla had in fact killed Harmony and he truly loved his daughter whose to say he wouldn’t have damn near killed Kayla not protect her. I think he did, and when hearing the all the stuff in the paperwork about what he did. Which was gone through and it was graphic and very laid out. I don’t think they’re ever going to find that precious little girl, he literally broke her into pieces and tossed her all an over. They are never going to really know where she is or how to locate all of her. It breaks my heart. And him being allowed to not be in his own trial to me is BS. I have seen this now a couple times over the past few months. And why should he be given a choice to be there or not. He should have to sit there. And if he was to act like a fool, it would show exactly who he is, and what he did. It was also give the jury a chance to see the man who is being accused and see how he reacts and how he handles the whole trial. That poor little girl was tossed away, and the sad thing is she had other people who wanted her. There was a family who wanted to adopt her along with her brother. She was also doing well in foster care with the lady who had her as a baby. The state should be held accountable and the caseworker should also be charged, the judge who allowed Adam custody should also be held accountable. More and more children are dying because the system thats suppose to help them doesn’t do a damn thing but watch them die. And they toss the file aside and move on. This precious baby was tossed aside by everyone who should have fought to save her. And what the hell to staying in a car in the middle of freaking winter with 3 babies. They could have done something, went somewhere or even stayed with the one friend who offered them a place. If they were so busy getting high they didn’t want to take care of their children they should have given them to family or something. I just can’t imagine. I do know about addiction and how people can be, but someone should have done something. Why didn’t he give her back to her mother. Something anything. It’s just one more sad death that should never have been. (Only relaying my own thought and feelings, not trying to be offensive and hateful.)

How this father could do this. He must’ve been stoned out of his mind the whole time, that’s the only way anyone would do something like this. The battery of the child you don’t have to be out of your mind to do. But everything else-lugging around her body in a plastic bag and then a tote bag and a cooler; storing it in the pizza parlors freezer , oh my God it’s disgusting. all I can think of is demon possession. Hell is full of people like him and hell is a real place. And regardless of whether he’s demon possessed or not the reason he did this is because he’s ingested all these disgusting drugs, and what they do is open Your body to possession-one of these days he’s gonna wake up and I don’t think he’lI think he’ll ever forget or forgive himself.
He will not make it in jail for long-that’s for sure. Unless they put him in solitary confinement.
