From Havana: Dr. Fernando Funes

Dr. Fernando Funes is the founder of Finca Marta, an exception in the Cuban agriculture. As an agronomist he develops an environmentally minded farm management using techniques he studied in Cuba and Netherlands. The biggest challenge for him is to create conditions so the farmers stay in the land, and also he focuses on producing the amount the consumers need facing the sever problem in Cuba of how much food is wasted on the fields, advocating secure destiny for the food production.
