- Welcome to the first episode of Skyrim Life as an Alchemist. This is the Skyrim alchemist roleplay series where we live the life of an alchemist in Skyrim. This Skyrim Alchemist build will see us live a normal life in Skyrim and earn gold through alchemy. In this alchemist playthrough, we will use many Skyrim alchemist mods, like - Skyrim alchemist house mod. The goal will be to try and become a master alchemist and reach alchemy 100. this really shows how scary living in Skyrim could be for ordinary people, there's beasts in the woods, unexplained burned caravans on the roads, and the war is never far away

Those two are vampires but they try to leave that behind and live a normal life at that sawmill. I read about those two on the UESP Wiki, so indeed, those ones don't mean any harm for you. There is a quest to kill Hern, but his wife there will try to protect her man
Proceeds to loot their bodies and leave them to rot naked and exposed in the elements and possible scavenging animals 😂

My favorite part of alchemy is eating a bunch of ingredients and going for a wild trip. It may only last for a few seconds, but I'll be damned if it doesn't feel great lol
most of my builds use alchemy especially as a money maker, i can tell you several recipes that you can make if you have the vanilla ingredient effects, including my main business potion which i grow at Goldenhills Plantation
for me the most rewarding builds are those built in roleplay, looking forward to the rest of the series 👍
I've been tempted to look up some recipes but I might just try and figure it out. I have the compendium if I need help.
The Alchemist's Compendium is a good mod. It adds a book with every Alchemy Ingredient and what they do into the game.

Glad to see a fellow Dragonborn who enjoys just chilling and living an ordinary life in Skyrim. Living as an alchemist/hunter quietly is just the most relaxing thing.

This was a fun episode and glad you are having fun with the Alchemist. Trying a play through with an alchemist myself and find it very rewarding and fun. Its a nice change of pace from the usual characters I create. I would stick with this approach and the nice part there is a lot of room for adventure for this character. The missive boards mod can aid you in your approach. By doing the deliveries or taking letters to various people it can help with exploration and with finding new ingredients or training. Plus with going to new towns, it helps to do favors for the alchemists there, as they can give you access to more ingredients and may aid in the roleplay. I’m excited for this series. I like the laid back nature of this one, but I would like to see you do some adventuring and missions centered around alchemy to add some action. I know there is the white phial mission and maybe some of the missions for the dark elf in solstheim

Awesome, i´ve always wanted to know more about alchemy in Skyrim. Watching this video i realized all my characters are grave robbers and pillagers. Even if you kill a bandit, checking the pockets of a dead guy might not be what a "good character" would do, but then again, maybe in the elder scrolls universe you keep what you kill.

I had an idea for a new series. Life As A Nomad. Basically, live in a camp, live off the land (eating what you find/hunt, drink what you find, only wear things you craft from items you find, etc). You can only camp in one spot for a few days before you have to move, you avoid civilization except to trade, etc

I think it's funny how you forgot to remove you disableing the storm. It's fine though lol. Other than that, I think this will be one of the best series yet. Non combat ones are quiet nice because they are way more chill.

As someone who has made atleast 10 characters in Skyrim since it was out on the Xbox360 and never beat the game because....I'm bad at finishing things.
Alchemy is always the first and main thing I do with all the characters. I just love the fantasy of alchemy in games and dnd and books and stuff

Back to back series as always and it always seems better than the last. Could I make a suggestion of doing longer episodes on this series. With travel and gathering such a large part of this character it’d be nice to see more of it per episode. Keep it up

I like it... Here's a idea for a future series... You play as a descendant of hern... (Add name) they have a cube house(mobile house mod) they want to make a name for themselves as a (add job or adventure)
Alchemy is always part of my playthrough whether I play as a warrior or a sneaky character with a bow. But my favourite is to just use crossbows for long range and two handed until I max out the two handed skill then play a one handed with a shield. But Alchemy is always a huge part of my game as a money-maker and for my essential potions.
Love the playthrough so far. Just about to start watching episode 3 and because ive enjoyed it so much I've subbed. 😁

This was a really fun episode. It's actually the first one that I have watched all the way through. I think you need to upgrade to the biggest tent, or maybe make your way to the alchemists shack and claim it for your home. Those storms are pretty intense.
I think I will make my way to the shack but can return to the grove at some point.
the moment i saw the alchemist life i knew it would be a good time because Alchemist is my favorite play style
Happy you’re enjoying the character. For alchemy, even mixing and matching random ingredients will upgrade your alchemy level and some if not many will be very valuable. And once made, it’ll save as a known potion to recreate. Great series, good luck. Lucrative potion= wheat and a giants toe 👍
Wheat, Giants Toe and Creep Cluster is even better but Salmon Roe, Nordic Barnacle and Garlic is the big daddy of all potions as far as money goes. Only for when you've spent alot yourself as no merchant in the game possess this sort of money offhand!
An alchemist is one of my favourite characters to play! I am so excited for this series to see how you evolve the character.

Cool. As someone who likes focusing on alchemy in Skyrim, mostly for selling potions/making healing potions/poisons, this should be a good one.

Depending on if you want to use it, there's a website where you can put all your ingredients in and it will tell you what potions you can make, what has the highest value etc
I quite enjoyed this and would love to see this as a series. Though when you passed up so much loot at the lumber camp I about cried. I loot everything and everyone. Can always sell the stuff for coin to buy what you do need.

I did a no-combat alchemist run some time ago. Travelling from town to town, picking herbs along the way, hiring followers as bodyguards and buying them more powerful gear as I could afford it. It sounds boring but somehow it was some of the best fun I've ever had in the game!
I figured I'd like the episode after not even 5 minutes. 10 minutes in: liked & subbed.
This already looks like a very promising series, it'd be really fun if you eventually made it to Blackreach to follow in the footsteps of Sinderion, the famed Alchemist hunting for Crimson Nirnroots.

A good Mod for things like this could be "Talentless" with that you can disable things you do not want to use
say you just want to use Daggers, then you could disable any other Weapon so you do not even can equip them
or certain Magics (careful with mod things those are magic too and then wont be usable)
You can even disable smithing, lockpicking etc
Maybe have a look for the next one
Edit: And maybe for even harder play, the Mod "Wounds" pretty interesting too
interestin, thank you for the inspiration man! idea. I do remember a few years ago downloading a mod that allowed you to build grenades and throwable potions that exploded and so on. it was a nice experience. now that im building a new pc I might download the game again and do another playthrough
I always end up majoring in Enchanting, Alchemy, and Archery. Usually by the time I'm in my 40's levels I'm pretty much unkillable and able to one shot anything. Lazy, I know but, you go with what you know!! Also, if you are doing archery the chaos enchantment is absolutely deadly but, it is hard to get.

blue mountain flowers and wheat are key health ingredients. i think it’d be cool to dabble in magic if you do find yourself in combat. i feel like magic and alchemy have always gone hand and hand and i haven’t seen you do a mage i think ever?

@@JacobyWakeby Also I don't know if you're aware of this but the child's clothing in the chest of their house isn't randomly generated loot but is always there no matter what. However they don't have any child, meaning they don't just eat men and woman but children too. Lastly even though the guard isn't complicit in their scheme they're nonetheless so unbelievably oblivious they somehow don't even notice the glaring fact that of all the travelers who happen to enter halfmoon mill none ever come back out and as such I can't say I feel all that bad for them lol. Honestly someone should create a mod which makes the guard an actual vampire who's complicit in their scheme and essentially serves as a lookout, I feel like that would make a lot more sense. Anyways I'm loving the series and hey perhaps for season 2 this character can eventually become a full blown druid which would make for a really cool character progression.
