I’m mad he’s actually giving good advice. I was gunna throw in some expensive speakers in my hauling truck just cause I’m sitting in it for hours on end. The old factory speakers from ford on my 96 ain’t cutting it. I did some research found his channel and now I feel more confident in buying 100 dollar speakers than 170 dollar speakers. And when his videos drop the prices do go up. He knows what he’s talking about. I don’t have the money to try all these speakers.

In Trinidad we normally run ds 18 and sound stream to me honestly the ds 18 playes good
Had the Rockville db55 for over 2 years. Can't say enough about it. It kicks ass. I would buy again vs the competition.
Thank you for the video. What would you suggest as a best budget amp to replace in a factory Bose ? One in a 09 Infiniti G37, and another in a 08 Tahoe. Going to upgrade speakers slowly, and replace factory sub/amp as well.
Worst 2 brands listed on the list are the boss and planet audio. They do nowhere near rated rms power.
Nice, I 100 percent agree with u on the infinity amp .I have the JBL club but in the monoblock I have 2 gain matched on a American bass VFL-18 one on each side of the dual voicecoil...the JBL club A1000.1 are great amplifiers that put out some awesome and clean power!! Been running mine for like 6 months...One of the best amplifers I've owned! Also have 4 diamond audio des1000.1 monoblocks and the JBL club A in my opinion is right there with the diamond audio amps no joke!

Highly recommend the Polk PA D5000.5 I'm using it in my Touareg bridged to deliver 200w rms to the front channel 3 way component set Massive Audio FC6.3 and the 500w rms at 1 ohm to push two Massive Audio Summo64 in the rear doors.
I bought it over other 5 channel amps because the subwoofer channel is 1 ohm stable, the amp is bridgeable to deliver 200w rms x2 @4ohm, and i just love anything from polk audio. i saw no other 5 channel that can do that much power for a reasonable price. rockville, boss, planet audio are all garbage. polk is same level as rockford fosgate, jl audio, etc. and better than pioneer, sony, kicker the "popular" brand names. only thing better is maybe focal and deaf bonce

Hey Mike, what color is the power led or does the badge light up? I've been interested in this line for a long time, but like you said reviews were sketchy! JBL has been around a long time as I started out with them almost 35 years ago, thank you for the good news and your personally using this amp is awesome! Lots of people complained about no bass knob included and some said it came with a dash mount display controller with multi functions, any truth to either claim? Any info you can give would be appreciated! P.s. I just got a SKAR RP-600.5 $180 beautiful amp for my BMW E46 build, I will be ordering a second matching 1to power all my passenger side speakers 1 amp for the left and 1 for the right;) Great video by the way!

The infinity or jbl set to high pass 80hrz it wouldn't matter if you even gave them 100 watts and you would benefit from a higher wattage for the explosive headroom it would make those jbl sound amazing provided you have them installed correctly with no gaps and sealed correctly you can use thin door or window adhesive strip and you can go to lowe's and get dampening material for the doors for around 10$ put some right behind speakers on car door and right around the speakers to this will help out with the midbass amazingly! Dampening material is in the roofing area.
Those little soundstreams are better units than the skar audio ones in my experience. Both have their drawbacks, the skars definitely run hotter.
I just came across this video!!!Mike mike mike although I agree with you on the infinity and jbl I disagree with you on the comparison to pioneer to Rockford & kicker and polk audio if you did any Investigation on these amps! you would know that they under rate there amps and will last longer than anything that you had in your vid except for the infinity & jbl and I'll bet you 10 to 1 that the Rockford puts out 75 or more front channels and the sub channel alike do more research next time! That's why you get more grief and it doesn't matter if a amp said it has a frequency of 10 to 50.000 hrz your can only hear or the best ears can hear up to 20.000 hrz. And the stereo would dictate how far the frequency goes it's the last thing hooked to the speakers and that would be the amp and if the amp said that it's frequency petersout at 50.000 hrz that's what you will get provided it's a good amp and the tweeters can do also

I'm looking for a 5 channel, my tahoe has 6 speaker so I just want it for the highs and mids not bass ,I have an amp just for that. What do you recommend. Speakers are 100 rmf so I'm looking for something with constant 100 rmf per channel.
If you are only covering the highs and mids and have an amp for the bass, your prolly only going to need a 4 channel which in some ways may be cheaper to go with

can test out marine grade full range amps? Ds18 hydro 800.4 vs diamond audio 800.4 and more for us bike guys.
Polk is a marine-grade amp, unlike all other ones on your list.
Is there a way to make a amp run at 2ohm even if the speakers are 4ohm? All I see is 4ohm speakers, never two.
The Skar SKM and RP amps are awesome.

@@promo130 Not from my experience. Also there is a guy on FB called Andrew Hinshaw. He currently uses a Dayton DSP, Dayton door speakers, and Skar subwoofer. His previous setup used Skar NPX8's and super tweeters. He has been winning sound quality competitions for over a year. Your opinion is invalid. So unless you have some personal experience to share, you might to keep quiet.

I have a Hifonics Brutus BRX 5000.5 and it's effing amazing. Especially the power it's able to provide to my subs (1,000w RMS).
there's not ever been an hifonics amp that made rated power
so you can forget your 1000 rms to your sub. if your lucky maybe 650-700

I’m an installer and bought the SMD amm-1 just to show customers the actual power (and convince them to upgrade electrical). 0% of maxxsonics amps do advertised power. They sound good and will be enough for most people but I prefer to use skar on low budget builds.

The ROCKVILLE DB55 SHOULD BE NO.1. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL I EVER USED IN MY LIFE ! THE DB55 IS SO POWERFUL THAT EVEN MY SUBS CAN'T HANDLE THE POWER ! I EVEN HAD TO USE 1/4 OF THE GAIN AS IT SHAKES EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE INCLUDING ALL MY PIPELINES AND ROOF !

I bought a set of ct sounds meso 6.5 components and a set of coaxials about a month ago just waiting for sound deadening and road kill to go behind them. Ive already got 2 ct sounds 12" tropos in a pre made box and they sound amazing. After buying 5 different brand subs and listening to others im very satisfied with my tropos.
I like the idea of going into amps, I mean it is what does most of the pushing in the system. but instead of saying "I am sure it will" how about setting up tests for these amplifiers and actually testing them out. run the numbers find the answers on when they clip, then run duration tests where you turn them on and come back 10 hours later and see if they are still doing ok at those upper ends?
