excited to see more about the S8+. I woke up at 1am and pre-ordered my phone. Been with the S5 since a few weeks before the S6 came out unbeknownst to me at the time. Stayed on top of release dates since then. although, when I was checking out the "Whats in the box" option on sprints website, I didnt see the earbuds listed. I really hope they're in there.
I can now confidently say that Samsung is the leader in innovation and design. Samsung has started the lead since the S5-S6 and has had a steady pace since then. Can't wait for my S8+!

Anthony Marlow i have a galaxy s7 and let me tell you something. i hate it. it always freezes, it opens random windows and is starting to get a virus, with my iphone 6s i never had any of those problems.
As a Samsung lover, I do like Apple's RAM. Whatever they do with the few GB they have is pretty great. My wife has no issues loading up Pokemon GO quickly, where my V10 is slow as balls. Plus she can go back to the game and not need to reload it, whereas my phone does. I don't know if it's because my v10 is a 2015 phone, but that game is clean running and fast with hers. Mine is choppy and slow. I gotta try it on the new Samsung phones, because my v10 can just be a POS like it already is.

Does it seem llike there is a bit more of an air gap between your finger tip on the screen and the icons display on the S8 + VS the iPhone 7 Plus? iPhone icons seem to sit on the surface but Samsung icons are just more vibrant. Which screen is more superior in terms of air gap gate?

Gorilla glass 5 on the back as well is gonna make a huge difference for scratches. My S7 edge has quite a few microscratches on the back from laying on tables, but the front is pristine and flawless. So them upping the rear glass to the same as the front is brilliant news.
If you want the most beautiful display on the market and enjoy Android, the S8 is the way to go. But, I still like my iPhone. Fluid typing, top-notch app ecosystem, no malware issues, superb battery life management; not to mention much faster charging than an android

I like the look of the iPhone a bit more because it looks so much more stealthy and attracts less fingerprints and scratches. The bigger screen point is valid since a phone can only be considered a tablet if it surpasses a 7" display. Battery life i debatable. IOS is much more simple in design compared to Android, Android also has a wider and higher resolution display than Iphone. If Samsung was to simplify their OS and darken the colours used then Iphone would not be able to come close to battery life. And there are presets that the user can choose from to customise their OS for longer battery life. Design is opinion based, but samsung has been victor for best designed phone and I think that still stands with the S8. Performance, we cannot judge till a bench test has been done between the two phones.

Derek Kronenberger Honestly I don't see why. Yeah the scanner is in awkward position but Samsung gave us so many great ways to unlock the phone. They could as well ditch the fingerprint sensor too. Facial recognition, iris scanner, hand waving or simply pressing the power buttons are enough. The infinity display makes split screen and multitasking so much better and it just looks beautiful. To me at least I think this is a great upgrade and makes iPhones pale :P

I have had Samsung for years after moving away from Apple and felt like many of you haters. After having to return my Note 7 twice and being forced to take a s7 edge, which then broke twice I have set up 4 Samsung phones since October. Just crap no other word for it. Called it a day and got the iPhone 7 plus. Felt like dancing with the devil initially but this is a superior phone. Doesn't look as good as the Samsung and on paper destroyed by Samsung. Not the case in reality as is all optimised better and this is a superior phone. If the next iPhone drops the bezel and has the A11 chip as rumoured the s8 is up for a tough ride as struggles to outperform the ageing 7 plus.

At least for me... and of course it's not "old and shitty", it just looks that way next to the S8+, which is something I didn't expect, as I usually appreciate the design that's put in the iPhone, and apple products in general, though sometimes lacking creativity.

Gorilla glass 5 on the back as well is gonna make a huge difference for scratches.
My S7 edge has quite a few microscratches on the back from laying on tables, but the front is pristine and flawless.
So them upping the rear glass to the same as the front is brilliant news.
If you want the most beautiful display on the market and enjoy Android, the S8 is the way to go.
But, I still like my iPhone. Fluid typing, top-notch app ecosystem, no malware issues, superb battery life management; not to mention much faster charging than an android

Better design-depends on who you ask. I like the look of the iPhone a bit more because it looks so much more stealthy and attracts less fingerprints and scratches. Also your forgetting other things like battery life, speakers, fingerprint scanners, and performance, all of which matter A LOT

The bigger screen point is valid since a phone can only be considered a tablet if it surpasses a 7" display.
Battery life i debatable. IOS is much more simple in design compared to Android, Android also has a wider and higher resolution display than Iphone. If Samsung was to simplify their OS and darken the colours used then Iphone would not be able to come close to battery life. And there are presets that the user can choose from to customise their OS for longer battery life.
Design is opinion based, but samsung has been victor for best designed phone and I think that still stands with the S8.
Performance, we cannot judge till a bench test has been done between the two phones.
I have watched like 10 videos about the s8, but i still want to watch more, because the phone just looks so good man, i really want it.

Derek Kronenberger Honestly I don't see why. Yeah the scanner is in awkward position but Samsung gave us so many great ways to unlock the phone. They could as well ditch the fingerprint sensor too. Facial recognition, iris scanner, hand waving or simply pressing the power buttons are enough. The infinity display makes split screen and multitasking so much better and it just looks beautiful. To me at least I think this is a great upgrade and makes iPhones pale :P

iPhones have had incidents of exploding too, every company does but the Note7 was just an exception that resulted in a re call. If that problem didn't ensue, the Note7 would be the best phone on the market (Until the S8 of course)

I have had Samsung for years after moving away from Apple and felt like many of you haters. After having to return my Note 7 twice and being forced to take a s7 edge, which then broke twice I have set up 4 Samsung phones since October. Just crap no other word for it. Called it a day and got the iPhone 7 plus. Felt like dancing with the devil initially but this is a superior phone. Doesn't look as good as the Samsung and on paper destroyed by Samsung. Not the case in reality as is all optimised better and this is a superior phone. If the next iPhone drops the bezel and has the A11 chip as rumoured the s8 is up for a tough ride as struggles to outperform the ageing 7 plus.
