As said before, it is Nepali festival celebrated whole over Nepal and only in few states of India which host large number of ethnic Nepali people. Tihar is the second biggest Nepali festival after Dashain, and is usually allocated a three-day-long national holiday. The festival itself is celebrated for 5 days. This video is of the 5th (final) day of the festival. Tihar is analogous to the Indian festival of Diwali, the festival of lights, but with some significant differences.
