🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 📚 Reading Fill in the Blanks in the PTE exam heavily relies on grammar knowledge, making it challenging. 🎯 Aim to achieve at least 15 correct answers out of 20 blanks to secure a competitive score in the Reading Fill in the Blanks section. 🤔 If you don't know the meaning of a word in a blank, making an educated guess based on grammar rules can still improve your chances. 📝 Utilize grammar rules like the Rule of Conjunction to infer answers and increase accuracy in fill-in-the-blank questions. 📖 Understanding basic grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs is crucial for effectively tackling fill-in-the-blank questions. 🛠️ Memorizing noun suffixes and other grammar rules aids in recognizing correct answers in PTE fill-in-the-blank questions. 💡 Adjectives typically precede nouns, while adverbs often end in "-ly," helping in identifying correct answers based on grammar. 🔄 Practice and exposure to a wide range of vocabulary through solving questions are essential for improving accuracy in fill-in-the-blank questions, as PT tends to repeat certain words. 🧩 Nouns in the PTE exam primarily include names of objects, places, and abstract concepts. 🏙️ Objects like laptop, phone, or even natural elements like the Sun and the moon are considered nouns. 📚 Abstract nouns, such as democracy or generosity, represent concepts beyond the five senses. 🤔 Understanding nouns is crucial for identifying answers in fill-in-the-blank questions. 🧠 Recognizing noun suffixes like -ness, -ment, -tion, -ity, and -ance helps identify nouns quickly. 🎨 Adjectives describe nouns and often precede them in sentences. 💃 Verbs indicate actions and can be identified by their form, such as present simple verbs or verbs following "to." 🔍 Differentiating between verbs, adjectives, and nouns is essential for correctly filling blanks in the exam. After certain words indicating past tense, such as "yesterday" or historical time markers, verbs are typically in the past tense form (Ed). 🕰️ When a sentence starts with a blank, the answer is often an "-ing" form verb. If not, look for connecting words or nouns. 🔄 Sentences with "a" or "the" followed by a blank often require a noun as the answer. 📝 Helping verbs like "am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had, be, being, been" usually precede verbs in simple form, making the answer typically end in "Ed". ⚙️ If a sentence begins with a blank followed by "of," the answer is usually a noun. 🟩 Verbs following "to" are usually in their simple form (no "-ing" or "-ed"). 🏃 Understanding common grammatical patterns can significantly aid in answering fill-in-the-blank questions in PTE exams. 📚 Applying specific rules for identifying the correct part of speech can enhance accuracy in selecting answers for blank spaces. 🎓 🧩 When encountering blanks before "of," use a noun, not an adjective. 🏃♂️ Adverbs ending in "ly" accompany verbs, not nouns. 🔄 Adverbs can precede or follow the verb they modify. 📝 Blanks followed by "by" require the "-ed" form of a verb. 🌋 Adjectives precede object nouns in fill-in-the-blank questions. 💼 Prepositions are followed by verbs ending in "-ing." 🚀 Model verbs are followed by verbs in their simple form. 🎯 Apply the learned rules, but remember, some blanks will depend on your understanding.
I apologise if you had any confusion. The sentence is …. it seemed to offer the possibility of _____ over the technology gap…. Here what you need to remember is that after a preposition like “of”, look 👀 for a verb with ing Therefore, leapfrogging is the correct answer.
Hii Sir… I have a small doubt regarding present perfect continuous tense as you mentioned in the video to use verb+“ed” after using have been. But however since our school days we have learnt to use verb + “ing” after has/have been. Kindly answer my question.
I just started practicing for the PTE exam. The Fill in the Blanks exercise gives more choices than two. The practice tests are more difficult than the examples in your video. I'm not sure what kind of tests will be on the actual exam?
overall video is very informative, but I have one question in one rule its explained ...... of means noun will come while in Rule 10 beginning of is used so beginning is verb Please explain
@@apeuni I mean, you explained if there is "of" after blank that means noun will come in the blank. But in rules 10 , question 4 , the sentence is : The transition process refers to a period between completion of general education and the ............ of vocational education ( why answer is beginning as its verb while initially it is explained that noun will come incase of blank + of (..... of)
are, have, has, is, am ,and be , they are a present simple why I should choose the answer has (ED) if I find it? I need explain more about this if u can. thank you so much.
These rules are short cut* We found that most PTE questions are in passive sentences. Therefore, if you see a helping verb next to a blank, try to select a verb in 3rd form.
The best class I have ever received in my life, I finally understood fill in the blanks.
Thanks

A quick inquiry for rule 12 question no.2
You said the answer is leapfrogging and it if because of ‘OF’? Or ‘OVER’ a bit complicated.
I apologise if you had any confusion. The sentence is …. it seemed to offer the possibility of _____ over the technology gap….
Here what you need to remember is that after a preposition like “of”, look 👀 for a verb with ing
Therefore, leapfrogging is the correct answer.
Thank you 🙏 for this class my all doubts are clear now once again thank you ❤
