In a lot of old Hong Kong movies they would do leg hits and sweeps with a wire pull to YANK the leg away from behind. It's very hard to do a self motivated leg hit without it looking like you're just kicking your own foot back (as you've discovered). Great video
Leg doesn't fly backwards when hit with a bullet. Not enough energy. A .50bmg would have enough energy to push a leg back with body weight on it but that round would explode the leg into nothing instead of pushing it back
@@Berm_BlasterTrue but because of movies real bullet hits look fake or boring. Like when people get thrown backwards from getting shot, if the bullet had the energy to move someone, it’d actually just go straight through them. There’s an hilarious one in the original Day of the Jackal, the bad guy flys back 6ft and up 4th from a 9mm hit 😂
Ignore the negativity. The silent majority love what you are doing... And the fact you are letting people see the process, rather than the 'finished' end result is always to be admired and applauded. 😊
I never thought about how much work and practice let alone constant physical conditioning goes into doing stunt work for a living until I started watching your videos. Informative and a freaking crack up at the same time how you do this and not get hurt. Much respect!!
"That was really dumb, so I'm going to move on" LOL girl, my thoughts every friggin day after saying something stupid thanks to having no filter because ADHD
Not to be graphic, but the purpose of a head shot is to essentially flip the “off” switch of the central nervous system. With a legitimate head shot, there is no pause. There usually isn’t much in the way of the cranium jerking one way or the other in reaction to entry and (usually) exit. The nanosecond that the CNS switch is flipped to “off”, all muscle tone ceases. The instant rag doll and falling into a discordant heap is the most typical result. You are an exceptional athlete and your work translates well into story telling. Sometimes the goal isn’t 100% accuracy and adding a little extra “it” sells the fall even better. You’re killing it!
"I'm just going to preface this with "i don't care"" M'lady, youre one of the best, and most refreshing, human beings on the entirety of the internet. Thank you for existing.
Cursed Knowledge: (thanks to Penn & Teller) the head moves in the opposite direction of the bullet because of the force of the exiting .. matter.. yeah. 7:09 made me chuckle pretty loud
If you want to make it more realistic especially with body shots, it comes with the idea that people don't instantly die. Which means the will try to control their fall and then try to escape usually to fall back right after. This when the pain kicks in. So yes a completely different approach with more acting. I don't actually know if stunt people are good at acting but it could be fun to see another part of the job. It was entertaining an impressive nonetheless 😮
You're awesome - I enjoy watching you practice. You have a million subs, so you prolly wont see this but it's common for a person when getting shot in an extremity to grab their arm, or grab their leg by instinct - because there's a burst of pain and wet and heat. Maybe a subtle grab for your shot leg with a hand while going down? Hope to see more of your practicing.
actually if ur getting shot to the leg it will not take ur legs from under u. I have been shot in the leg and it only stings like hell but other than that it wont take ur legs from under u.
Your looney tunes spin shot was epic.... As you were introducing it I said to myself: "well you're going to need to spin, then over exaggerate a pause and then fall" you completely nailed it!!! I actually said: "Ooooo ya shot meeee" as you paused. 😂😂😂 All of our inner playground children are living vicariously through you!!!
This was amazing! You are very entertaining and fun to watch. I would say it looks like you are over anticipating the movement, but I totally understand wanting to not actually get hurt on the landing. I did prat falls in highschool for laughs and definitely bruised some bones.
Carry a die (dice) and each # can be a body part. Ex., 1 head, 2 stomach, 3 Left shoulder, 4 Right Shoulder, 5 Chest/Middle, 6 Back Shot/middle. Can even use multiple dice for Front/Back, Left/Right/Center or Upper/Lower body, Odd is this and Even is that, or use a D&D multifaceted die or dice. You can do it alone or with a friend? They roll and yell out, you have to react right away? If you do the wrong body part there is a "penalty", making a game of it.
I've been shot many times (in video games) and none of them look like this. Clearly you've never been shot before (in video games) or you'd know! This is serious stuff Corinne!! I laughed when you got distracted with the trampoline. How can you not?
Thanks for this video 🙏 This video shows your sense of humor, and gives information and techniques, especially for someone who want to be a stuntman as a profession, or just like a hobbit to play and do nice fight scenes as entertainment
Getting shot in the leg wouldn't make the leg fly back like that. Not normally, anyway. It'd have to be a heavier caliber and it'd have to hit your shin or ankle. Too heavy and it'll shatter or go through everything. The average handgun bullet won't make your leg fly back, though, especially if it's the one you've got forward.
There is not so much force involved as impulse would equal to 11 kgm/s, which is still quite something, but the instance of pain and body reaction to it, this makes body move even more
Practicing getting yourself killed a dozen times is a weird flex but I am here for it, Corinne 😅 You are good at this and you have fun doing it, what more can you hope for?
I think your leg would go to jello as you collapse on top of it ir;. Your leg wouldnt fly back if you had weight on it. The speed of the bullet wouldnt allow it to drag like that ;)
A) That was great. B) You are way too hard on yourself. Yes, some of the leg shots weren't perfect but they were not nearly as bad as you were implying. The chest and head shots looked perfect. Like, scary perfect. If I saw you practicing in the park I would be worried.
You should definitely do that one thing completely differently. Or completely the same. I dunno, I'm just trying to figure out which thing do I need to say to most effectively playfully goad you in to making more fun videos like this. I know nothing about how to stunts and should not be listened to, except the part I said about this being a fun video. :)
I never saw somebody get shot in real life (thankfully), but does the kinetic energy of a bullet suffice to actually "move" any part of the body except of maybe a finger or ear or something like this? Maybe only if a huge rifle bullet was used?
There were people commenting that you should have waited before your head moved?!... After what?! The headshot that did not actually happen?! LMAO Gee-zus! EDIT: I think I'd seen another video of yours, of headshots, without firing sound?... Anyway, een with sound, those comments still make no sense. How many times have these people seen other people get shot that they know exactly how long you'd react to a shot?... LOL EDIT 2: This was very fun to watch! 💯
@7:36 Let me preface this critique by saying I've never been shot, but I don't think a giggle is the typical response, so for realism that one got a 3/10🤣
I think is great kid, you know what you should do. Do Arrows next, bullets are so yesterday, everyone is getting shot so often I bet they don't even care. But how many can tell you how it looks like to be shot by Arrow. Yea.
Soooooooo not that i actually saw this happen in real life or anything.....but the whole grabbing your leg once its been shot is alot more accurate than youd think....
I can't believe this is technically a job lol. For the leg ones, you could probably try like a "double shot" thing where you take a leg shot, fall to one knee, and then get shot in the head so you don't have to try to dramatically flop off one leg all at once?
😮As a Marine Corps infantry combat veteran and 11 year police officer, gunshots do not hit with that much force unless you're catching a .50 cal round. It's more like getting punched vs getting hit by a motorcycle. A punch to the shoulder would certainly not make one spin around. Neither would a leg shot Fling your leg back. Ignore me though, because I am not offering anything of value here. Still like your videos!
I'm sure, just like the rest of us, you hope you NEVER get shot for real! Otherwise, you can stare them down, like Worf from Star Trek, and say, " Duras, today is a good day to die!" SO Klingon!!
I love your attitude of just having fun with it. To be honest, there's a reason why Hollywood and TV *don't* have hyper-realistic violence - it's not as fun! I'm curious if you've seen Allie Glenn's classic in the genre: ua-cam.com/video/ZMLx_Qmv9vk/v-deo.html
"I Don't Care"! Everyone always complains or has something to say about everything, and the best response ever is what you said! I love it!
"kids on a playground" sums up Corrine
I feel kids would tell her she needs to focus and calm down a little 😋🤣
In a lot of old Hong Kong movies they would do leg hits and sweeps with a wire pull to YANK the leg away from behind. It's very hard to do a self motivated leg hit without it looking like you're just kicking your own foot back (as you've discovered). Great video

Good or bad……. You are entertaining as hell to watch!! I love ur genuine energy and enthusiasm!! Keep up the good vibes

Shoutout to those Feiyue shoes, the Chinese hood classic 10/10

Your leg wouldn't fly back if it got shot. It will collapse underneath you. Good example is to watch 2010 The Losers.
Noted 😂

ADHD but in a good way. The last lot was definitely movie quality.
Absolutely fun as hell :D thanks for inviting us top share this and more would be great :D
This is great camera action, very entertaining!
Me: Oh that was cool!
Corinne: That looked bad.
Me:... oh 🙃
Those were all awesome. Keep up the fun work.
Hey Corinne 🌸🍃🌼Always Fun watching ❤the Stunts 🥰& you 🤣🌴🌊☀️🌈🌺✌️💚😎
good job corinne!! this is so cool!

Imagine living in a country where you’re more entertained watching a person getting killed than, say, a physicist discovering the Higgs Field.

Shot Twerk for Crush Killed me😅😂🤣
I love this! 😂👏🏼😍
👏👏👏awesomeness! You’re out here doing what you love. Ignore the negativity. 😊
The problem with the leg shots is that you wouldn't die from it. At least not instantly like the head shot.
Yeah that’s what I said, my auto - captions messed up and said “would” instead of “wouldn’t” 😅
Fun video as always :) Has anyone thought you really were hurt?

well yeah. any gun shot wouldn't have any effect that dramatic in real life ... but it does in the movies 😅
This was fun Cory😂, it would be a fun cross over challenge to do with one of your UA-cam buddies.

You scared my dog at the very end when you ran at the camera 😂
Corinne is so talented!
Nice work!! I have done just a few stunt works so this is actually good help for me! Keep falling!!!❤😂
Could you do a video about getting shot while running on grass too? Or is it too hard to hit the ground like that?
you are very funny. I appreciate that

wow i like that, how good u control your falling
The first Looney Tunez one was the best...
But as for the crush one... I suggest you use me as the matress
You're Very Awesome!
I love your job
Get shot while... Headbanging, air guitar, talking to a friend, flirting, you won a prize!, in mourning, and looking for your lost dog.
Maybe next time you could do multiple chest shots with distinct hits before falling down?
Ooh good idea!!

Have you worked on movies before?
How are you not one full body bruise?
I thin leg shots are difficult because the reality of getting shot in the leg is very un-dramatic.
Good. Nice means agreeable.
I think if you got shot in the leg you would collapse rather than have your leg shot out from under you.
