It’s just the way it works. People know his song for the singers on top of his instrumental. So these songs would work live if the singer was there not just him. It doesn’t get people hype again because they know these songs as the singers songs not the producer behind it

I DJed for a church youth dance this last weekend and the crowd was just as lame. Kids this generation just don't dance. They show up and request nursery rhymes and sometimes pop songs. Then they withdraw to their friends and just chit chat or stare at their phones.
Lazy crowd, such a pity... I ❤ Mark as a producer or play some music instruments. I really love his work a lot than his live performance as a DJ. I gotta be honest, he's not a crowd pleaser as it should be. I never could imagine him as loud or energetic person. I prefer him as a cool and calm guy.
